I just wanted to make a podcast episode for people wanting to dig into the defense of Christianity and the reliability of it. Here are my top 10 books I read this past year in 2019. I got to sit down with my friend and pastor Ken DeChant to discuss grace. We dive into the Biblical Christian definition and what struggles we may have in accepting the free gift of grace. The mindset and pride that may keep us from embracing the fullness of the gift of grace.

I sat down with my friend Jenelle as she talks about the struggle she had marrying an "unequally yoked" man. The compassion and lack of compassion she received from the Christian body even through the 2nd diagnosis of cancer and eventual death of her husband. We discuss the lack of compassion we see in the church body and some of its believers. We also talk about the possibility of those stumbling blocks causing someone to stay in Atheism and/or being the cause. Through it all this experience has left Jenelle with an even bigger sense of compassion towards others in and out of the church. 

This was the second podcast I recorded with my friend Brian Level. We touch on the influences of faith from parents. The possibly negative effects of forceful beliefs from parents and the pastoral reliance we sometimes have seen. The respect and discernment we are called to have towards each other. The understanding that we have to come to faith ourselves in order to have the sturdy foundation we are called to have. I will def. be expanding on this discussion in a later podcast. I feel the importance of not having your faith solely reliant on another person is vital to the survival of your faith in Christ. 

I sat down with my buddy Brian Level. We discuss the issue of finding time for God with a busy schedule. We touch on coming to God in love and not guilt. Changing your mindset from finding time for God to being more mindful of God. We give insight into how we both are reminded and spend time with God.... we kinda go all over the place. But I was super excited about everything we talked about. ex. Is there a "right way" to pray?, the routine vs relationship of prayer, and much more. 

I speak with my friend Tina Ohmart about some of the issues women face in the modern Christian church in America. Feminism and what that looks like. Tina and I describe our personal understanding of issues we have seen and felt in the church.
