Description

The Midwest is an incredible, evolving culture. We're here to make sure you know all about it. Join us each week as we break down our favorites from The Scout's good news daily email. We’ve got charm, we’ve got hustle, and we’ve got about thirty minutes to fill so you never know what you’re gonna get. We love you. And that’s not a weird thing to say on a first date at all.

And other smooky goodness. There's a nip in the air so we're talking scary movies, costuming and Christmas decor.
Every time we get a chance to catch up with Dawson Hollow it's basically a family reunion so playing Two Truths and a Why was just like going home. Like going home to Lebanon (learn to pronounce it here).Bonus Feature: Experience a dramatic reading of The Hobbit from Aaron.
Live from the Shasta at Shipyard Music Festival, Christopher catches up with Decatur, GA's Hero the Band and talks jam skating, SEC and where to scoop the best grits. Like their stage performance, it was foot to the floor the entire session.
And tempura twinkies. Your boys get their sea legs this week in The Scout's first remote episode and we reveal the results of Jordan Ramsay's entry to the SEMO District Fair.
Jordan Ramsay has spent years perfecting his chocolate chip cookie recipe and now he's setting his sights on that SEMO District Fair blue ribbon. In other news, the turtles are taking over.

When the Jeff's away ya boys will play. 1/3 of your hosts from The Scout Podcast sailed away for the week so you get a Christopher + Jordan special today. They've covered all the important topics of the times: JLo's current relationship status, the Toyko Olympics (did you know 72 countries have NEVER won a medal?), that new bougie McDonald's, coffee shops popping up, and how to choose what's for dinner.
It only took talk of personal pan pizza to get your boys back in studio to talk fireworks recap, rattlesnake hunting, deer vs. bike and KYOP. Welcome to Episode dix-neuf.
What is the greatest firework? The Parachute Man? The Bottle Rocket? The mortar that cascades and then everyone goes, "Those are my favorite"? Today we're covering all things Lee Greenwood approved and speculating on Jordan's Shipyard set.
Belly bombs, Airstreams and the only three acceptable haircuts for a man. Also, we can put a man on the moon, but...
We've got all the Shipyard Music Festival news a body can handle and you are invited to join us in September to help record part of the show. Plus, we lace up the New Balance and salute the dads.
Only one way to find out. Follow the second-hand road this strawberry season and stand by for a new Scout Session with Arkansauce. And do you know proper fish-handling etiquette? Jordan will teach you.
Easton Rawson is a man of few words and he joined your boys with nine of them to talk biscuits, 90's wrestling, Legends of the Hidden Temple and Lizzie McGuire theme song lyrics. "I wanna go home."
What a time to be alive. New restaurants, coffee collabs and certified twangers. Bookend your weekend with biscuits and all is good.

Jordan is back, they're serving chocolate gravy at the farmer's market and the marathon hangover is alive and well. It's a real goos-n-chews kinda week.
There is a Jordan-shaped hole in this week's episode as he enjoys some well-deserved time off. Meanwhile, 2/3 of ya boys are joined by Heather Hammers — who is totally a superhero — at the historic Reynolds House pre-Scout Session recording.
Join ya boys, including a freshly-squeezed Jordan, as they explore Shipyard teasers, prep for the inevitable Christopher v. Jeff episode and all the other tasty bits you've come to love from The Scout.
Where do you even start with this punk kid turned Marine turned tall bike guy? In Texas or Alabama or Louisiana or Arkansas or somewhere on the road? Maybe at a Rainbow Gathering where he totally wasn't buying cigarettes or in a super-organized hoarder's house scoring a banjo?Wherever you catch up with Parker Bond, ask him who he shares a birthday with. Then just sit back and let the stories rip.
Spring has sprung and yeah, we want some fries with that.  And chicken gizzards and gator and Brussels sprouts. Ya boys got hungry, talked Tyler Perry and their favorite fried taters.
Bleegghhh. That was the word of the day even though we had the soft-spoken, Death Valley-ridin', JDRF-advocatin' beast that is Tyler Myers in studio for this week's episode.Tyler is a genuine guy. He does a lot of things. He's good at a lot of things, but at the root of all that is people and his love of showing peace and grace to those around him. Be. More. Like. Tyler.
