The Dallas Stars are the first home team in the series to win, as they take down the Vegas Golden Knights by a final score of 3-2 in game five. Jake Oettinger was remarkable in the 3rd period and Jason Robertson scored the game winning goal to seal the win. The story coming out of game five though is the Stars team defense. The Dallas Stars prepare for a pivotal game five versus the Vegas Golden Knights with a series lead on the line. On today's short episode of Locked On Stars, Joey goes over today's news coming out of morning skate for both teams. Mason Marchment and Radek Faksa are game time decisions and we expect the same lineup from games three and four. Also, Lian Bichel has returned back to North America and expected to play with Texas in the AHL playoffs. The Dallas Stars pull out a gritty 4-2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights in game four and tie the series at two games a piece heading back to Dallas. Ahead of game four between the Dallas Stars and Vegas Golden Knights, Joey of Locked On Stars previews tonight's game including updates on Mason Marchment and Radek Faksa, how the Stars can replicate success they found in game three, and the response of Vegas on home ice. 

The Dallas Stars take down the Vegas Golden Knight in an overtime thriller by a final score of 3-2. Joey reacts to Wyatt Johnston's overtime winner and the Dallas Stars dominance for much of game three. The Stars could not have had a better start, after Miro Heiskanen made it 2-0 in the 2nd period it felt like Dallas was untouchable. 

The Dallas Stars head to Vegas for Game three against the Vegas Golden Knights trailing in the series two game to none. With injuries to Radek Faksa and Mason Marchment game two, the Stars have recalled recent AHL MVP Mavrik Bourque. Bourque had 77 points in 71 games this season with Texas, and could potentially be in the lineup tonight.

The Dallas Stars lose game two by a final score of 3-1 and the Vegas Golden Knights take a commanding 2-0 series lead back to Vegas for game three. Jason Robertson scored his 2nd goal of the series to give Dallas a 1-0 lead, but it was answered by Jonathan Marchessault a few minutes later. 

On today's episode of Locked On Stars, Joey relays his thoughts and opinions after rewatching the Dallas Stars 4-3 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights in game one. He believes their are a lot more positives about the Stars coming out of game one than he initially thought. 

The Dallas Stars fall to the Vegas Golden Knights in game 1 by a final score of 4-3. The Stars came out flat in the first period and the Knights struck three times, including twice on the power play. Jamie Benn and Jason Robertson scored in the period to cut the deficit to one heading into the 2nd. The Stars out shot the Knights in the middle period, but failed to pierce through Logan Thompson who started in net for the VGK. Jake Oettinger was not very busy in the final two periods, but Vegas made his life tough on their goals. Joey breaks down game 1 and why Vegas was so successful and why he even has some optimizing moving forward in the series. It's no question the Stars will need more from Thomas Harley, Miro Heiskanen, Roope Hintz, Matt Duchene if they want to beat Vegas at full strength. They will also have to make adjustments in their defensive zone exits and the way they attack Vegas. The Knights blocked 20 shots and forced a ton of shot attempts from the perimeter by Dallas. The Stars must find a way to win in front of both nets if they want to have a chance in the series. We will see what kind of response Dallas has in game two on Wednesday night.

The Dallas Stars are Central Division Champions for the first time since 2015-16 after defeating the Seattle Kraken over the weekend. On today's episode of Locked On Stars, Joey goes over the possible scenarios of first round playoff match ups for the Dallas Stars and what has to happen in order for them to win the Western Conference.

The Dallas Stars were shutout by the Winnipeg Jets 3-0 and one of the bigger storylines from the game was Nils Lundkvist. Lundkvist played a team least 8:43 seconds and only had a couple of shifts in the 2nd period. The Stars were essentially playing five defensemen, and when Pete DeBoer was asked about it, he gave an answer that may leave the impression Lundkvist is not a part of their playoff plans.

The Dallas Stars have an interesting proposition ahead of them when Evgenii Dadonov is healthy enough to return. Pete DeBoer after practice Wednesday stated he would like to get Dadonov into a game before the end of the season. However, in order to activate him off the LTIR the Stars would have to send Logan Stankoven to the Texas Stars in the AHL in order to free up cap space.

The Dallas Stars beat the Buffalo Sabres 3-2 for the 50th win of the season. It's the fifth time in Franchise History the Dallas Stars have hit the 50 win mark. Jake Oettinger won his 8th start in a row after notching 19 saves in the game and was real sharp after the 1st period.
