We’re pushing and pulling…pushing and pulling…AND pushing and pulling, yall. *laughs*Here’s a quick pod episode where I speak on some school things: push strategy and pull strategy. I understand these methods but reading it in the space that I’m in made the ‘ah haa’ light bulb come on. I share my…vision…on how push and pull strategies apply to marketing…or whatever your involvement is with your purpose in life (shout out to the capitalist/’GET MONEY’ folks out there). Grace be upon to you and yours. This should be one of the standards for humanity. Your grandparents probably exhibited this growing up…and if they didn’t…you know of a person that extended grace and mercy to you…when you KNEW you needed it the most. When you get grace and mercy offered to you without any warning, you feel a sense of luck. You definitely feel thankful. That’s how you SHOULD feel. With that, I share my thoughts on grace and mercy and the applications surrounding it. I’ve been receiving inquiries about what an EPK (electronic press kit) is and what needs to be in them. I’ve also been in various conversations where some artists missed opportunities due to not having certain tools to present to media, DJs, event promoters, and even to their fans. One would say that its tragic to not have an EPK, but for me, I give grace…to an extent. To an extent = Google, networking, asking an OG or someone that has done this over and over is always a reliable resource. Plus, Krate Digga might not go so far with you. *laughs*With that, I took some time to share quick bullets (below) that artists need to consider and have on them…at all times. You never know when someone will ask you for a song to play at a kid’s event or if a blogger wants to cover your music on their platforms. September 11th, 2001 will forever be a memorable moment in history. The 9/11 attacks on the United States has been dubbed as one of the worst events to occur. We send respects and prayers to everyone that was affected by the situation. On the flip, Jay Z released ‘The Blueprint’ album on the same day. This project was received well with hits like ‘Izzo’, ‘Takeover’, and more. On the 22nd anniversary, I took time to share why September 11th, 2001 was memorable to me and how these events will be close to my heart. …interesting. I used Chat GPT to come up with the description of the unfortunate racial shooting that happened in my city. I’m not THAT much of a political person, so this doesn’t sound like me. On the flip, the words are meant.  Blessings to my city, the community New Town, the people on the frontline, Duval County, and everyone that is feeling hopeless. I do see some light but I'm getting my thoughts out on this so I can be sane. These words are confirmation that I go through it often, but I have to just throw it out and let it breathe. Good day, or evening Neighbors & Groovers. I don’t want to draw this out, but here’s an ideal of what B.A.B.N. 2 would sound like. The songs you’re hearing now are rough versions of the songs. For context, I like to record a reference of said song, send it to the producer of the record, make changes or add on things, record it again, get it mixed/mastered, and released to the world (or city…being that I feel like my music can’t get pass the city…in which the city doesn’t mention it much…for reasons I don’t have to go into…but it’s the obvious reasons). One phrase that will stick with me until the end of…is when DJ Jazzy Jeff stated ‘DIE EMPTY’…so…here it is (again…if you’ve followed me randomly throwing out some content, due to). I haven’t came up with titles for the songs. I had plenty of ideas and things I wanted to try out. The quotes you(‘ll) hear is from a collection of statements I came across and wanted them to assist me with my creativity with the music and the ‘admin’ side of things. Maybe they’ll be saved for later, but the quotes were centered around some of the topics of B.A.B.N. 2: hope, leadership, community building, and redemption.  We’ll see what the music spirits brings for the next round of music. Praying it won’t be much time in between, even though the spirit of me leaving Hip Hop alone is present…and when I say Hip Hop, I mean mostly the emcee side, BUT…the culture of it is in shambles and I’m not sure if I want to continue. You know how you love something so much to where you want to leave it? Whether it’s abrupt, indifference, wrong, simple?
