Golf Origin Stories is back for 2022! As has (sort of) become tradition, we're kicking this year off with a musician. None other than everyone's favorite golf parody songwriter, Sam Harrop. We talk about his musical origin story, how he ended up taking #GolfTwitter by storm with his parody songs, and when and how he fell in love with golf. Andy Frye is currently covering sports for Forbes magazine, but he’s also written for ESPN, Rolling Stones, the Chicago Tribune...all without a journalism degree. Andy shares his experiences interviewing some of the biggest names in golf, including Justin Rose, Brooks Koepka, Annika Sorenstam, and David Feherty. He also has written something on LinkedIn, of all places, about his leap from cubicle dweller to sportswriter that I found to be incredibly inspiring. Nate Cangemi is a lot like me.
