This is the hardest journey you have been on. Long hours. Lots of tears. Tons of anxiety. Loneliness. Disappointment. Heartbreak. All the things. So why not just quit? Why not just give up and turn around now? I mean, if it was meant for you, it wouldn't be this hard right? If you were on the right path, you wouldn't be this stressed, right? In this motivational minute, I want to offer you a bit of a reminder that whether you quit or give up now, they're both hard. You will have to face difficulties, disappointments and stress in either direction.  When you're on the journey to reaching your potential or finding your purpose, there's a lack of visibility into what's the BEST way to get there. Sometimes there's an obvious detour that you can take that doesn't take too much longer and other times you have to consider backtracking as there is no foreseeable way there on your current path. But that's when we have to remember the God's eye view of this journey. Today's motivational minute is meant to inspire and encourage you through your tough days. Keep listening to this episode when you're struggling so you can stay encouraged. // Don't forget to subscribe to the show and share with someone who needed some motivation // Connect with me on IG or Linkedin @neshavfrazier Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/couragehackers)
I really struggle with saying that I'm stressed. I'm learned to embraced my anxiety, so I can use anxious. I'm welcoming overwhelm - so there's some level of comfort there. But stressed isn't one that I embrace easily. I came to realize that it was because acknowledging 'stressed' as an emotion felt powerless. It felt like I was submitting or acknowledging that I couldn't navigate out of my situation. And I am not nor do I accept the feeling of powerlessness. I'm an incredibly strong and tough-minded black woman. BUT I have paid the consequences for my blatant disregard for my 'stress levels'. I have experience severe burn out, depression and multiple medical conditions which were the result of a stressed immune system. As a strong woman, specifically a strong black woman, I feel like my threshold for stress isn't the same as a lot of women I speak to. My life experiences in my childhood and family life can speak if you've heard me share my story. But is that fair to myself? Is that fair to my growth? Is that fair to my spirit? Today's episode shares why I struggle with admitting that I'm stressed and welcomes your thoughts/experiences. I decided to make this a mini series because I think it warrants a deeper conversation. So stay tuned for that. // Find me on IG or Linkedin @neshavfrazier and let me know! // Don't forget to rate this episode 5 stars!Support the show
I signed up for a Spartan race. I don't know why. But apart of it is also just realizing that I am soon to be considered a mid-lifer. Or at least I think I am. But in realizing that my life has officially hit the mid-way point for the average life cycle, I signed up for it.  And also because I'm over talking about my dreams. It took my some time to become as master at manifesting. After years of studying it, I learned the there are two keys:1) Manifesting or creating what you want in life requires you to KNOW what you want from your life.2) Sometimes, we can go through seasons or storms that challenge us to believe that we need to get smaller or reduce our expectations for what we want. Because we assign a timeline to receive it and begin to doubt it because it didn't arrive.  But the power is to increase our faith in the things we truly want for ourselves.I'm relaunching the vision for Courage Hackers. Have you been watching Will Smith's Best Shape of My Life? If not, this will be a bit of a spoiler because this episode is sharing my reaction to it. If you love him then you already know how amazing it is. One of my favorite inspirational videos to watch on YouTube is called Will's Wisdom. I've been quoting it for a decade. Despite knowing what I already knew about Will Smith's mindset, I was surprised at how much I have in common with him. Rather, how much he has in common with me. Obviously, I'm not Will Smith and I'm not speaking about his success. Things like: his negotiation with when to push and when to relax, his fear of disappointing his younger self, his incredibly black or white, this or that approach to success and his constant pursuit of growth and challenge. Will is over 50, has all the coins, established legacy and wealth and he is out here grinding. I felt so incredibly inspired and grateful for his vulnerability. Have you ever found yourself meeting someone who has achieved the success or income that you desire and yet you know good and well that he/she isn't smarter or more skilled than you. But despite all that you being to the table, you have yet to achieve similar results in your life? It has nothing to do with what you've done thus far. It has everything to do with what you believe is possible for your future. You see, the greatest tool in your toolkit isn't your degree. It's not your experience. It's not the way you grew up, either. It's your mindset. It's your belief system. When I say choose faith to you, I'm not speaking of God or the Universe. I am sending you a gentle reminder to choose faith in yourself. Neville Goddard says that our only limitations are a weakness of attention and poverty of imagination. I believe that without question. You are only as successful or capable as YOU imagine yourself to be. Have you listened to the previous episodes where I shared a few life updates and explaining a portion of my absence? Did you watch my YouTube video on why I move in silence and why you should, too? If so, you would have heard me share a few life updates. Today's episode really shares the it all and speaks to the power of faith in yourself. Follow and subscribe the show! {Motivational & Inspirational} Don't forget to subscribe/follow the show/// Building self discipline, learning to commit to yourself or staying on track with your goals requires a mental toughness transformation that's similar to physical fitness. You don't just go from zero to 26 miles overnight. You also don't assume that you can run that long, without preparation, and succeed (for the average person). It's a process. It's a journey. One that requires you to push through exhaustion and overwhelm. So many of us are days or weeks away from the breakthrough we want in our lives but quit sooner than we can receive it. We have the capacity to overcome the hard things in our lives but we lack the courage or the fight. This episode talks you through my go-to mantra for overcoming self doubt, fear and defeat when I have a million thoughts telling me to just give up. /// Find me on IG or Linkedin @neshavfrazier /// Please leave a rating & review for the show! Listen to this if you are ready to be real with yourself about your sh*tty money mindset. /// Don't forget to subscribe to the show or find me on YouTube, Linkedin or IG: @neshavFrazier /// Money was a topic I was ashamed to talk about when I was getting prepared to get married years ago. I didn't have a lot to bring to the financial or credit table. I remember when we went through the process of building and buying our first house together, we had to leave me off the loan because I would have ruined our chances at underwriting the loan. I had a mindset about money that believed that it was something I was never good at, so I should just accept it. But I called bullsh*t on myself. It's how I approach the mindset people had when they say they're terrible at remembering other people's names. If you keep telling yourself your terrible at/with something, your mindset will adopt that narrative at truth. You have no incentive to improve a poor skill if you has accepted it to be worthless or impossible. /// This episode celebrates my proudest financial flex and offers update #2 for ghosting you this year. Here are the two things I hope you take away from this episode: 1) If you're out of your 20s and still struggling with money management or building a mindset about money that serves you, that's okay. If your 2 steps behind or 20, all that matters is that you decide to get in the race.  2) Let's stop shaming ourselves for the money choices we've made in the past. Shame doesn't serve you. Normalize money mistakes and money management as any other skill that you learn to be master/// Like this episode? Follow/subscribe to the show!
Don't forget to subscribe to the show! /// I was recently inspired by Gabrielle Union's haircut post where she talked about normalizing change that doesn't have to be the result of pain or negativity. I know many women who cut their hair off after a break up. Or go through a massive glow up. Nothing wrong with it. But you don't need trauma or pain as an excuse to change your life. I feel like it's much more difficult to find the motivation or consistency to see the change through when you are in a good place. This episode speaks to the fact that complacency or contentment can often be an excuse for ignoring the nagging calling we're receiving to level up our lives.  We can easily convince ourselves that our prior goals or ambitions are no longer needed to satisfy us. While there may be some level of truth to that, it doesn't change the fact that the calling will always be with you. Don't forget to rate & review the show /// This episode invites you to the emotional roller coaster I experienced at the beginning of the year. While it starts with finding out about baby number 4, it ends with the realization that God was sending me a hard stop. My return to work with my my 2020 was remote for 2 months. It allowed me to separate my work from my toxic work culture. That's pretty dangerous because it also gave me a renewed energy that things could/would improve. I got my hopes up that my professional and financial goals could be realized with a renewed attitude. Boy was I wrong. Situation after situation occurred (in disrespectful ways) to wake me up. I realized that I was moreso hoping to dismiss the calling God placed on my life for this year. One that I've known about for years but was starting to talk my way out of it. It's been showing up as whispers. Then God put a wall in front of me: a fourth baby. A non-negotiable, how TF are you going to make this work knowing the reality of your situation? Today's episode talks through that a bit. It talks through how I found gratitude in things not working out as planned with my return to work. While it speaks to finding out about growing my family, I know it will still speak to some of you about trusting your whispers and not allowing your circumstances to prove you wrong about them. /// Don't forget to rate & review the show! /// @neshavfrazier on IG and Linkedin
Don't forget to rate & review the show! It has been a while and podcasting feels foreign right now. I feel like I have to find my flow again (argh!). I owe you an update - did you see my first announcement? I'm pregnant with baby #4! Today's episode briefly touches on finding out that we are expecting our SECOND pandemic baby. But moreso, it touches on the fact that I tend to step away when I am making big pivots in my life. We have a few updates regarding pivots that I will share over the next few months. I tend to protect major pivots in my life by moving in silence because insecurity is a muther. If you're not prepared to combat negativity, criticism or a lack of support, it may impact your beliefs about yourself. I didn't want to risk that so I had to get my mind right. A seat at the table. What exactly does it mean to aspire to a seat at the table. Have you ever asked yourself that? What exactly does that goal mean to or for you? For some of us, aspiring to a seat at the table is another form of permission for us to be ourselves and live within our truth. We create this goal and await for validation. We secretly look at others blazing a trail down the path of our goals because we lack the courage to lean into our potential if proof of success doesn't exist. Today's episode is to remind you that the fabric of your being is one that was created with strength, courage and wisdom. It's been inside of you all along. You have already had the proof that you and your dreams are possible. /// Follow me on IG @neshavfrazier /// Don't forget to rate and review the show!
I've been with my husband for 14 years and married for almost eight. I thought being a mom would be the hardest thing I've done. It 's not always a walk in the park. But marriage is by far the hardest thing I've ever done. It's not hard because of the reasons that may immediately come to mind. It's hard because I have ZERO control over my husband as I do my children. I can't bark out a command or order and just expect him to submit like a child. It's also harder because the complacency within a relationship is real. Add more layers like kids, careers, hobbies, friends, etc and complacency just makes itself right at home. You have to be mindful of where you are and how you are performing within your relationship. Surviving a rough patch is no different. Many people give up too easily within a rough patch of a relationship because they think it means that you're not meant to be together. But rough patches aren't all created equally. Sometimes, we play a role in creating them because we've lost sight of our role within our relationships. Today's episode walks you through three things you can do to survive a rough patch within your relationship: 1) Find the RIGHT support system - create an engaged board of directors2) Customize the job description - check in on your performance regularly3) Check yourself Don't forget to follow and subscribe to show. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. - 3 John 1:2Have you already given up on your new year's resolutions? Have you already started to lose motivation? What do you do to remind yourself that you can't quit? How do you remind yourself to keep going, even when you no longer believe that your goals are for you? Today's episode speaks to God's promise of prosperity over your life. It's a bit of a motivation to remind you that your goals have already been promised, you just have to find your fight.    /// This episode was inspired by a conversation of someone pouring into me. So it only felt right to pour into you because I know that many of you have already given up on your new year new you goals. 2020 was a year. We all know this. {Don't forget to follow, subscribe and leave a review} Today's episode we talk about me finally going live on IG (click to watch the IGTV version of this episode) Something that I was terrified to do for whatever reason. It's a funny thing, being afraid of things that will progress your goals because you're afraid of judgement, afraid of making a mistake or just plain afraid of being uncomfortable on social media. If you're a fan of this podcast, then you know that I am actively working at becoming more vulnerable by doing things that scare me. Let me be the first to tell you: this is not fun. I am reminding myself to have fun (did you catch my Reel?) And reminding myself that on the other side of fear isn't embarrassment or shame. It's my future self waiting on me to figure it out so we can move on. Learn how to reframe your mistakes as lessons with these three simple steps to move forward. Today's episode shares: How do you overcome yourself and your fears: -          Remember that nothing changes if you don’t change-          Nesha’s five-second rule re-imagined How I productively overcome my mistakes:-          Thomas Edison story-          Give yourself permission to make mistakes without judgement or criticism-          Experiment as much as you needed with building up to confidence How I navigate thru change when experimenting:-          I remind myself that I set the pace and tone for the standards in my life – no one else-          I remain stubborn in my vision but flexible in how it’s realized
