What a weekend we had with guest minister Nancy Dufresne. She shared on the power of faith and reminded us that God and the Holy Spirit should always remain our focus. That means when we face difficulty, listening to the Holy Spirit, our guide on the inside, is the best thing that we can do. You can walk in faith toward your miracle!Welcome to Living Word! Pastor Jim delivered his seventh installment in his series on the book of Romans, entitled, Grace Unveiled. The first three chapters of Romans focuses explicitly on the definition of sin. “Because,” as Pastor Jim says, “if you don’t understand what sin is, you will not understand the solution to the sin problem.” Paul wanted them to understand that all of mankind has a sin problem, and no matter who you are, you will never, ever be able to achieve righteousness through your own merit. If doesn’t matter if you’re a secular pagan who worships Zeus or a religious Jew who strictly follows the law, God will never see you as righteous through your own effort. Pastor Jim has much more to say in this message subtitled, “All Under Sin.”Welcome to Living Word! We're so glad you're here with us. Pastor Mac taught a message entitled, They Brought. He said, “If you’re in a relationship with the Lord, you’re in a covenant with Him. And that covenant is one of blessing.” Yet, many covenant believers do not seem to walk in the level of blessing the Bible promises. Why is that? Pastor Mac said walking fully in the provision and purpose of God begins by understanding what the definition of a covenant actually is.Welcome to Living Word! We're so glad you're here with us. What a wonderful Easter weekend we had as we celebrated Jesus! His resurrection is the focal point for our faith, for it bridges the gap between the seen realm and the unseen realm. As you go through your day today, remember that the resurrection power of Jesus has the ability to raise your circumstances high above anything you can imagine. The touch of death does not need to destroy your life! God’s resurrection power is at work in you and through you to touch this world for Him.Welcome to Living Word! Guest minister Heidi Baker declared “The fields are ripe for harvest and now is the time for the harvest.” She urged believers to lay down their lives on the altar until there is nothing left. God wants you to pick up your cross and follow Him, dying daily to our own ability, our own strength, our own understanding. Heidi prophesied saying, “The Lord says He wants you to lay down your fishing pole. Harvest time is here. It’s time for nets!” We need to shift from “I” to “We.” We must work together because there is a time of harvest coming that the world has never seen before, a great and mighty harvest. It’s time to get out the nets!Welcome to Living Word! We're so glad you're here with us. Pastor Jim gave his fourth installment in his series entitled, Grace Unveiled, with the subtitle being “How to Get a Reprobate Mind.” This is a series on the book of Romans, a book considered to be the greatest writing of Christian doctrine in all the Bible. Pastor Jim says it has multiple themes on redemption. It touches on our inability to work for the favor of God, the guilt that we have to deal with on a daily basis, and the fact that salvation is only to be received by believing. Romans 1: 24–32 is the subject of this message.Welcome to Living Word! We're so glad you're here with us. Pastor Mac taught the third installment of his series entitled, Focus on Effect, based upon 2nd Corinthians 4:17, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.” The apostle Paul said the hardships in our lives can be light and momentary. It all depends on what we place our focus upon. Paul says we are to focus our attention on what is eternal, rather than what is temporal. There are three things that are eternal: faith, hope, and love. We are to focus on that.Welcome to Living Word! We're so glad you're here with us. Pastor Mac gave the second installment of his new series entitled, “Focus for Effect.” This series is all about focus, meaning where do you give your attention. This is important because whatever you give your attention to will determine how hard or difficult your life will be. And conversely, it will determine how easy and carefree it will be. Teaching on 1st Corinthians 13:13, Pastor Mac says you can gain the clarity you need to succeed in your life by focusing on matters of faith, hope, and love.Welcome to Living Word! Pastor Jim taught a message entitled, “Are We in the Days of Noah?” Jesus’ disciples asked Him what the signs will be of His coming. Jesus said it will be like it was in the days of Noah: “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Fellow believers, we are in the days of Noah. All they thought about in the days of Noah was eating and drinking and the like. They were not thinking about the flood that was coming. So it is today!Welcome to Living Word! Pastor Jim ministered a special God-directed message for the congregation entitled, “A Deception of Palestine.” He talked about how there is a division in the body of Christ worldwide, where believers are allowing themselves to become deceived when it comes to the present and ongoing deception regarding the Jewish people and Israel. It’s important that Christians do not allow themselves to be persuaded by worldly and ungodly leaders and news systems. It’s important they know what the Word of God says and exalt it as God’s truth.Welcome to Living Word! We're so glad you're here with us. This last weekend, we had a very special guest minister, Lance Wallnau, at our weekend services. Lance is well known for his revelation of the “Seven Mountains of Influence” and how these mountains of influence shape and change the world. He preached about how God is calling the church to make disciples of nations. And in order to do that, we need strong, territorial churches that are raising up believers to go out and become the “head and not the tail.” Lance basically taught on the same thing at all three services but much of the information he shared in each service differed. We're so glad you're here with us. Dennis Burke taught a message entitled, “A Symbol and a Source of God’s Blessing.” He shared that it is understood that as members of the body of Christ, we have a clear sense that we are living in the last days. And even if these are not the last of the last days, we understand that these are our personal last days. So we must treat this time with a sense of commitment and a sense of design from the Spirit of God for our lives to make an impact, to make a difference. In fact, that’s what we’ve been designed for! Welcome to Living Word! We're so glad you're here with us. Pastor Lynne shared her excitement about church planting and about world harvest. Sadly, most Christians never even think about world harvest. She pointed out that world harvest was the very first prayer assignment Jesus ever gave His people. It says in Matthew chapter 9 that when Jesus saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them. He turned to His disciples and said, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” We are to pray that God would send out laborers into His harvest. World harvest… that is the first prayer assignment Jesus gave to the church. Pastor Lynne went on to talk about the 10/40 window, what it is and how we can pray about it.Welcome to Living Word! Pastor Jim gave his third installation of his series entitled, Welcome, Holy Spirit. He talked about how people say, “Jesus lives in your heart.” But, actually, Jesus presently sits at the right hand of the Father. It is the Holy Spirit that lives and dwells inside us. Pastor Jim brought a greater awareness to the fact that it is the Holy Spirit that daily guides and directs us. The book of Acts describes the acts of the apostles as they went forth into the world preaching salvation through Jesus, His sacrifice and resurrection. But Pastor Jim illuminated how there was an overwhelming number of scriptures in Acts where the Holy Spirit is mentioned, where the Holy Spirit directed and guided the apostles in everything they did. And it is still the Holy Spirit directing and guiding the body of Christ today!Welcome to Living Word! We're so glad you're here with us. Pastor Jim presented his second installment of his series entitled, Welcome, Holy Spirit. He again used Acts 2:17–21 as his reference. He spoke about how in the last days, God is going to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh. That means that every man, woman, and child will be touched by the Holy Spirit. That hasn’t happened yet, but we know that it will. And we know that when God pours out His Spirit, not everyone will receive and accept Him. God created people to be free will beings and must make their own choices in life. But Pastor Jim pointed out that everyone that calls on the name of the Lord, will be saved. Welcome to Living Word! Pastor Mac taught his second installment of his two-Sunday Christmas message entitled, Alpha and Omega. He reminded us Christmas messages are for the purpose of elevating our celebration of Christmas to the point where the celebration makes a difference in our lives. The things that you celebrate in your life are really the things that you’re giving permission to impact your life. And so it’s important that we understand what we’re celebrating at Christmas time. Jesus declared He is the Alpha and the Omega, meaning He is the beginning of life and the end of death. In the first message, Pastor Mac talked about how Jesus is our Omega Man, in that He destroyed death in the many forms it may take in our lives. In the second message, he talked about Jesus being our Alpha Man, the beginning of life.Welcome to Living Word! We're so glad you're here with us. This past weekend, we were blessed to have guest minister James Tan for all our weekend services. James continued his teaching on the demonstrative side of the Holy Ghost and power. Those two terms—the Holy Ghost and power—always go together. If power is present, it’s the Holy Ghost. If the Holy Ghost is present, there is power. You will never have one without the other. But James taught us another aspect of the Holy Spirit… that, yes, the Holy Spirit works through us, but He also works in us. Welcome to Living Word! We're so glad you're here with us.
