There’s always something to do if you want to fill your time, but is that the best use of your life? What if you could learn how to optimize your time so that you:Perform at a higher rate - to make better use of your time Enjoy more time off - to make better use of your life“You are way more powerful than your brain wants you to realize.” -- Vikki Louise Are you willing to “break” some rules to find out what you are capable of?Join in on today’s podcast as we learn some time-hacking tips from time and productivity expert, Vikki Louise (@vikkilouise___).
What do you do when you have a team member or contractor who is not meeting their deadlines or keeping their commitments? How do you tactically deal with this issue without it feeling so hard having to address problem areas with your employees?Step 1: Assess the problem Identify the facts of the situation. What is it that has not been done? State it very clearly and factually without any narrative from you (what you think about them for not having done the task)Step 2: Determine if the problem is skills related or behavioral If it is a skillset problem this means they are missing out on a resource or intelligence to complete the task. Maybe they need some more training or direction. Or maybe they need a new tool or computer. If it is a behavior issue this means that they are not lacking ability, they are not performing in a certain manner that is needed to fulfill the job. This could be a lack of manners in dealing with clients or team members. This could be an attitude problem. Step 3: Choose your direction Once you know what type of problem it is, you address it appropriately. If it is a mix of both, skillset and behavior, be sure, to begin with, behavior. Because if someone is not willing to fix their behavior it serves you no good to fix their skills. They are someone who needs to be let go for a better team player. Listen in on the podcast as I break this down more and give you some examples of each type of problem and how you can address them with your team member if needed. Last tip: Don’t let problems fester. Address them promptly and directly. I give you some tips in the podcast on this as well, but bottom line you need some clear values and expectations in place for your company and each role, so you can make this easier. If that is something you need help with, join This is Leadership School. We will help you set those up for your team. http://thisisleadershipschool.com/
When you become a leader it's more than taking on the title or stepping in to that role. A great leader embodies the leadership characteristics that make a difference. A strong leader learns how to overcome fear and doubt to keep taking action. A confident leader knows how to make decisions and remain clear to avoid overwhelm. A powerful leader does it all not for themselves, but because they know the world needs them to rise up. That they have value to bring that the world (or your market) needs from you. Notice how all of these traits are internal. They are all things you have to become or embody to be a leader. That is because...Leadership begins with you!Join me for this short episode about inspiring the leader in you! Want to access more resources for your leadership? There is nothing wrong with proving yourself. When you apply for a job — you first have the belief in your abilities that you could do this but you still have to nail the interview to get the job. What does that require? Proving yourself to the hiring manager — convincing them you are worth taking a risk on. When you try out for a team — not everyone makes it — only the best who fit the needs of the team — that the coach sees the most potential in — make the cut. You know what it requires to get there — proving yourself to the coach. But before you try out for the team, before you apply for the job, or the mastermind, etc. You first have to believe in yourself and your ability. You have to believe you are worth it to apply, to take the interview, to keep trying, even if, because things are going to get scary, nerve-wracking, intense, etc. And your belief in yourself has to be solid if you are ever going to convince anyone else that you have what it takes to join their team, work with them, guide them, etc. Do you believe in yourself and your ability -- enough you could prove it to someone else?Listen in on this episode for insight to what you think about yourself and how you put yourself out there to prove it to get what you want. Do you feel the freedom to be more than one thing in your life? Be more than a mom, a wife, an employee, coach, etc.? Rather than treating yourself as a failure for trying to live up to a “should be” ideal what if you can remember you are valuable and capable of choosing to define your role in life in the way that best suits you and your interests?Join me for a podcast conversation with special guest Jessica Ambuehl – a woman who embraces diversity in her career taking on different roles and paces to feed her creative outlets and passions. As a photojournalist she travels regularly - internationally, embracing different types of projects, as she interacts with people in a variety of ways, being willing to explore, recognize, and value the diversity in different cultures. Jessica shares how you can have a bigger identity than any one role or label. And how we can be different than a typical role or stereotype to embrace our personal passions and fulfill who God has made us to be. Connect with me on Instagram and drop me a DM at: https://www.instagram.com/marketingwithstef/Find out more about special guest, Jessica Ambuehl at: https://www.instagram.com/jessicaambuehl
The results that you are having are directly connected to the thoughts you are creating. In other words, whatever you are thinking is creating / providing / giving you the outcome or results that you have. I recently listened as a client explained a recent launch that yielded seven new customers. Rather than being delighted with these results, she was upset, because she had been aiming for about four times that amount. When she sat down to debrief after the experience she began exploring what had happened, which gave her these results. She looked at her thoughts and her feeling of confidence and felt secure that she was on the right path to creating the results she wanted. But there was a disconnect she wasn’t seeing. Do you know what it was? What she currently believed — even though positive and leading to a feeling of confidence — was not a good enough feeling to get her the bigger results. So when she started taking action from this thought and believe she did the actions that yielded seven new clients instead of actions that yielded 40. Do you see the mind magic in this revelation? Sometimes you can have a positive, encouraging, empowering thought, but it is only good enough to get you to point A when you really want to go to point E or F. If you want to achieve bigger, greater, results you have to uplevel the thought, the feeling, and the actions as well. How are you looking to the past to decide your future? What if you can just determine your future — by creating it in your imagination right now?It is possible. You can decide anything for your future and it doesn’t have to defined by what has or has not happened in your past. It is the self-belief you have to choose first. “We think we have to create the result before we actually get to believe we are the kind of person who can do that thing.” — Krista St-GermainHow can you be confident in something you have never done? What if you can leverage the idea that it is possible, that you can be capable of it, to show up and try, and fail, and try again. And gradually you develop the confidence that you can do it, as you lean into the capability. Listen to today’s episode with special guest, Master Certified Life Coach Krista St-Germain.  Connect with me on Instagram and let me know what you think about the podcast and who you'd like me to interview in the future. https://www.instagram.com/marketingwithstef/

Today we have a special guest, Master Certified Life Coach, Krista St-Germain, join us for a conversation about believing in what's possible in your life. We chat about what it is like to love yourself before setting a goal. Imagine what impact that could have on you? Verses thinking that if you love yourself as you are that means you won’t ever change or that you will just accept things as they are and stay stuck. What if you could decide what needs to change in our lives comes only after you learn to love yourself as you are? This is an amazing conversation that will help you acknowledge where you're at currently and help you see the possibility available to you from here. Responding to the news is not a common practice for me, but today we explore an interesting new story about a massive cargo ship that has lodged itself (aka gotten stuck) in the Suez Canal. And before we know the outcome - the solution to this problem - we are going to look at the ramifications of what has happened and draw some parallels back to your business. 1. What is your contingency plan for your business, should anything catastrophic stop you from being able to operate?2. What "tug boats" can you put in place (small, but mighty actions) to help you move forward and help you achieve your big results? Join me for this unique conversation on business and marketing around the shocking results of the massive cargo ship getting stuck in the Suez Canal. Then jump on Instagram and share your thoughts with me. But in this episode, we are calling out the three ways your business approach could be hurting you. Tell me where you're at in your business and let me know any questions I can answer for you. Do you ever get caught up rehashing a conversation on repeat in your mind, trying to find another solution, another way that it could have gone? I have done that a couple of times this week and to be completely honest, it has not helped. The challenge with having a conversation replay in your head is that you are making your brain do double duty. One you are asking your brain to recall the conversation as closely as possible to how it originally happened. But oftentimes, it is adapting or changing in your mind as you put on emphasis on the parts that trigger you. Your brain is also crafting your emotional reaction as you think about the conversation. And lastly, you are attempting to analyze the conversation while replaying it in your mind. So much effort, for so little result. Join this conversation as we address the problems with rehashing a conversation and offer you some practical solutions to move forward when you're ready. For MORE HELP:If you want some more help working through this reach out to me. You can email me at coach@unworthythoughts.com Or message me on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/marketingwithstef/And don’t forget to follow me on TikTok for daily inspiration, challenge questions, and lots of fun. https://www.tiktok.com/@lifecoachingwithstef
