So tune in to follow the paths of some badass (but also normal) women. We talk about how they got there (wherever there is), what moves them (e-scooters, anyone?) and what still needs to change (spoiler alert: a lot).

In this episode we talk about safe mobility for people with low vision. Sight loss significantly affects one's independence leading to limited mobility amongst other things. Many people who lose their sight have to overcome enormous difficulties to get around. Inconsiderately designed public space and mobility options can be challenging, at the same time even small changes to those can make a difference.Bhavini is an Engagement Manager at London Vision focussing her work on campaigning for and with Blind and partially sighted people for equal access into services such as Transport, Health, and General Access into services. She is An Ambassador for Retina UK, who has been raising awareness of sight loss within the Asian Community by organising Charity Fundraising Events, via Newspaper Articles, Radio Interviews and Presenting at Community Events. As always this conversation is brought to you by : Ligia Boueres, Nastya Koro, Sadie Martin and Galuh Rohmah. On Her Way is a podcast of curious conversations with women like you and me - women who lead. Women’s travel patterns differ from men’s in many ways. Women are likely to travel shorter distances than men, are more likely to use public transportation, engage in more non-work travel outside of rush hours, and make more trip chains. Women run more household errands and escort more other passengers (usually kids or dependent elderly persons). Are their needs and travel patterns accommodated for in the mobility sector? As always this conversation is brought to you by: Ligia Boueres, Nastya Koro, Sadie Martin and Galuh Rohmah. With women making up only a fifth of transport sector employees across Europe, it is no surprise that in the end, transportation products are usually not designed and planned with women in mind.So let’s talk about it. In our second episode of the "Mind the Mobility Gap" season, the Women of TIER is joined by two experts who know a thing or two about transportation for women.Melissa Gómez, sustainable mobility and urban innovation expert currently working as Transport Policy Officer at ADFC (German Bicycle Club Union) in Berlin.Eleanor Chappell, Head of data for UK e-scooter trials and co-chair of the gender equality network at the UK Department for Transport in London. The On Her Way Podcast is hosted by The Women of TIER Initiative and TIER Mobility, with the mission to inspire women & allies through examples of leadership & learning, enabling the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and networking in the startups & work environments.Wanna know more about our initiative? Happy Pride! We’re super excited to celebrate Pride Month and shine the spotlight on women in the LGBTQIA+ community. Women have been prominent figures in queer social movements. As LGBTQIA+ folks are still fighting for freedom from oppression, so are queer women. In the United States, it’s still legal in many states for private employers to discriminate against applicants, pay employees less, and even fire them on the basis of gender or sexual orientation. In Europe, a recent survey found that discrimination is still present in the workplace, in public spaces, and when trying to access housing or social services like healthcare. As always this conversation is brought to you by: Ligia Boueres, Nastya Koro, Sadie Martin and Galuh Rohmah. Our guest: Helen HagemeierHelen Hagemeier is a queer couple and sex therapist (occupational therapist) specialized in psychosomatic and hypnosis therapy based in Germany (check out her Instagram here). (Well done, ladies! 👏🏽 ) Their research also tells us that, compared to men, women's values tend to be more environmentally focused: women have more positive views of speed limits and congestion fees, for example. Why might this be? One interesting reason is that gender differences in socio-economic and demographic conditions prevent women from owning and using cars at the same rate that men do.So, is green the new pink?  You might find out soon 😉The On Her Way Podcast is hosted by The Women of TIER Initiative, with the mission to inspire women & allies through examples of leadership & learning, enabling the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and networking in the startups & work environments.Wanna know more about our initiative?
