Hello, my lovely! My name is Magda. I have created this podcast for you so you can listen not because you need advice but because you want to know you are not the only one who got involved with a toxic partner. And that there's nothing wrong with you. Toxic relationships - Why are we attracted to those who are not good for us? Why is it so difficult to break up with a toxic partner? What is about them that we sacrifice our well-being and happiness for misery and mistreatment? Why do we forgive the unforgivable? Who are Soulmates From Hell - Narcissists, Borderlines, F*ck Boys, Mr Breadcrumbs, Mr Controller, Mr Jealous Guy, Mr Double Standards, Mr Open, Mr PoorMe just to name a few...I will be sharing with you stories and thoughts on relationships and love to help you understand why you get involved with toxic partners and how to break the cycle of this self-destructive habit. Going through a break up is a painful experience.  It's even more difficult when you know you made the right decision and yet it makes you feel like crap. In this episode, I explain why you miss your ex-partner who treated you badly and what to do when you feel the urge to reach them out. Remember, always treat yourself as someone you care about. <3 Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/gradowa)
Never good enough, always the one to blame, always the one to feel responsible for the hurt. Comparisons, the push and pull dynamic, silent treatments. Good times, bad times, good times, bad times, bad times, bad times… Breadcrumbs of love. Accusations, passive-aggressiveness, playing a victim, false promises. Taking the blame for a feeling of hope things will change, good times, walking on eggshells… Sounds familiar? Welcome to trauma bonding. Whoever thinks it’s easy to ‘just leave’ has probably never experienced a bond formulated on familiarity brought from a childhood. When you confuse emotional abuse with love.  Associating disrespect, belittling, and control as signs of love and care. _________________________________I am a recovering perfectionist so I record my episodes in one go without editing. In this episode, I talk about why it is so difficult to leave a toxic relationship and in many cases, we are caught up in the in-and-out dynamic. Whether it's because we still have feelings for our partner or we feel guilty for 'abandoning' them even though it's in our best interest. Remember, always treat yourself as someone who matters.Visit my blog for more articles and my emotional oversharing :) Magda x Support the show
In the 1st episode of the Soulmates from Hell podcast, I will talk about how to recognise that you are in a toxic relationship. From my own experience I know it's not easy to admit to ourselves that the relationship we are in is not serving us. We excuse our partner's bad behaviour to keep the relationship going because we fear being alone and we see a breakup as a failure. At the end of this episode, I will share with you my tip on how to support yourself when you realise that the relationship you're in is not healthy. Support the show
