After a lot of introspection, I decided to go at this one more time. I feel more grounded, more certain and more determined than I was in season one and I cannot wait to unravel the world that's waiting for me in season 2.To those of you who kept seeing me even when I struggled to see myself, I'm ever so grateful. During my period of self-doubt, worry and second-guessing, Turning Pages was listed as one of the Top 30 African Literature Podcasts to Follow by Feedspot, I must say, we were in great company.I look forward to walking this journey with you this year. The aim is to remain consistent and share one episode a week (on Tuesdays) throughout 2021. Feel free to keep rating the podcast and subscribing too. I saw a lot of Oyinkan Braithwaite's debut novel, My Sister, the Serial Killer doing the rounds on book tube last year. I'm not usually a crime/thriller person, but I read this in one sitting it was that good. I truly enjoyed it.What are you reading at the moment?Thank you for tuning in, it means a lot to me.xoxoVVSupport the show
Discovering Mohale Mashigo was such fun, her mind is truly incredible and it's evident in what she writes about. Her debut, The Yearning is spell-binding to say the least, and in today's episode I share my thoughts on this dynamite. What are you reading at the moment?Thank you for tuning in, it means a lot to me.xoxoVVSupport the show
If I'm being honest, this is probably one of the first books that reignited a love for reading for leisure for me after varsity, and it is still among the first few books where I saw myself reflected. Any conversation about Cynthia Jele's Happiness is a Four-letter Word is one of love because of the memories it conjures up. Happy 10 years Happiness, may you continue exposing us to ourselves every single time we touch you. What are you reading at the moment?Thank you for tuning in, it means a lot to me.xoxoVVSupport the show
