Description
Have you ever wondered how YouTube sausage gets made? DrunkFriend (not a dating app) aims to learn how different YouTubers in the retro-gaming space deal with the ups and downs of maintaining successful channels. Learn about their inspirations and influences to getting started, their philosophies on creating content, and their processes for video production. There will be plenty of fun stories along the way! Hosts Alex (SNESdrunk) and Trav (NESfriend) come together, along with the occasional featured guest, to answer listener questions, share the YouTubiest of YouTube comments, and find out how everyone else deals with this hobby. 94 was an awesome year for me, one of the main reasons was getting my first Lego set.
bruh, I didn't need no TalkBoy. I just held down the pause button on my dad's fancy duel-casette deck player to slow down the recording.
Not a big fan of Terminator 2 or Jurassic Park, but I 100% think that they were better in some aspects with visual effects and story telling than this modern "throw everything at the screen" CGI barf. Too much modern film making is soulless noise.
I'd drifted away from this podcast due to too much sports-talk or YouTubers who weren't interesting to hear interviewed or who Is never heard of at all. The Gaming Historian interview brought me back...at least for this episode. We'll see what the future brings to see if I stay.
Holy balls this guest is boring. SNESDrunk & NESFriend try to pull the interview along but it's a slow, painful grind. Maybe MDP is better with a scripted show, I've never seen his YT stuff. Hopefully the next fuest6is more interesting.
Last week, no NESFriend, this week, no SNESDrunk...I think the point of the podcast is having them both here as each brings a specific style and dynamic. Maybe only record together, get some in the can, then release them on-schedule when needed.
Either SNESDrunk was actually drunk in the episode or he was just fanboying out a bit too hard for Robert being there. Nothing wrong with that but it definitely made for a less focused episode.
Looking forward to a future YouTube episode of SNES Drunk covering Sega's "The Ooze"! It's pretty fun, kind of action/puzzle-ish. Played it but never beat it. Might have to go back to it.
Another fun episode, definitely liking the guests. I'm going to have to start looking into their YouTube channels to see if it's something I'd dig, too.
Lazy Saturday morning listening to these guys talk wrasslin' games.
