There was a Rihanna concert interrupted by a football game last week and the Flems are here to breakdown every aspect of Rih-Rih’s iconic, chill-but-empowering performance — from the high-flying choreography, to the fashion, the set list, the baby bump reveal, a bizarre (gross) theory about the theme and even a full, detailed breakdown of Rhi-Rhi’s Fenty Beauty pre-show routine from … Dave, of course. Trust us, this ep shines bright, like a diamond.
The Flems break down the Grammys, perhaps the greatest awards show in history, starting with the incredible tribute to 50 years of Hip Hop. After a new segment called Ally’s Corner, featuring an epic recap of Ally’s first job fair (sponsored by: Secret Antiperspirant) the Flems break down the Grammys as only they can with dad-daughter debates on fashion (Harry Styles’ Rainbow Fish jumper); vibes (Lizzo, LL Cool J, TayTay, Jay-Z, Ben Affleck); plastic surgery (Madonna); conspiracies (Cardi B and Harry Styles’ stage snafu); and, of course, music (the moving story behind Bonnie Raitt’s winning song).
After a (brief) hiatus, a ski trip and a national TV appearance, the Flems are back (again) and better than ever with a full ep dedicated to championship football. Get the inside scoop on the Flems trip to LA to watch the Georgia Bulldogs win (another) Natty featuring Ally’s network TV debut. The Flems then breakdown everything you need to know about the Super Bowl, meaning: the Mahomes family social media, Rhianna’s Halftime Show and, of course, Ally’s expert pick for the game. For ITO listeners there’s also an exclusive reveal of the first review of Dave’s next book - and it’s a doozy!
With the McRib about to be permanently retired (for the 4th time) and Ally home for Thanksgiving, the Flem's provide you with some much-needed Thanksgiving travel comic-relief by sampling the McDonald's "classic" while catching up on the #Georgia Bulldogs run at another National Championship, Dave's story on the 10th anniversary of the New York #Jets Butt Fumble, the #Budweiser snafu at the #WorldCup, the Flem Family's annual Turkey Trot 5K and much more. While the jury is still out about the McRib -- a "restructured meat" sandwich rumored to contain bits of Loch Ness Monster fin and the inspiration behind what Ally calls "A McRib Butt Fumble" -- as far as the rest of this hilarious ep goes, we're sure the ITO Fam will be Lovin' It.
After a near-revolt by the ITO & TayTay fams the Flems reconsider their hasty and slightly harsh initial take on Swift’s 10th album ‘Midnights.’ Tune in for a smart, nuanced, insightful (mea culpa) and re-review of TayTay’s latest work as well as Dave’s current ESPN feature on a behind-the-scenes look at the crazy Astros fan “Mattress Mack” who is now just 4 wins away from cashing in on a record $75 million World Series bet. And be sure to check out the shows INSTA page for a collage of faux ‘Midnights’ covers.
The Flems instant review is in for TayTay's 10th album 'Midnights' and it's a shocker. Instead of continuing on in the 'Folklore' vein or returning to her pop glory days of '1989', TayTay split the difference with a restrained, dreamy, electro-confessional concept album that left the Flems, well, underwhelmed. While every other so-called critic on the planet raves over 'Midnights',  tune into this week's ep of ITO for the real tea on TayTay and to find out why the Flems, two of the biggest TayTay Stans around, dared to give this wildly over-hyped (and, uninspired) effort a ... C+ after their first listen.
It's the world-wide debut of Ally Tries Stuff! Fresh off her 21st birthday, Ally samples a wide variety of beer -- a beverage she once described as tasting like a "Jar of Farts" -- in the hopes of educating herself and all of her fellow female beer newbies in ITO Nation on Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Hoppiness. Will Ally's beer of choice be a pilsner, an IPA, an import, an Athen's original, a wheat, something pumpkin-infused ("It's like drinking a candle"), a Natty Light ("The Auburn-football of beers"), or, perhaps, something dark and "delish" from the land of her ancestors on the Emerald Isle? Tune in to learn everything you've ever wanted to know about beer (from the perspective of a college senior) but were afraid to ask.
The Flems have been to - and talked about - the Parthenon, the Burj Khalifa and Lollapalooza but nothing can top Dave’s long-awaited journey to the most epic place on the planet: Buc-ee’s. With 60,000 square feet, 225 gas pumps, jerky for miles, world famous bathrooms and a million cartoon beaver logos, Buc-ee’s has become the Taj Mahal of rest stops and a viral marketing phenomena so huge and irresistible only an advertising expert like Ally can fully explain the genius that is Buc-ee’s.
The Flems break down three huge debuts this week: Ally’s Bulldogs begin the defense of their national title (and world’s best mullet award) against Oregon; ITO is home to the WORLD premiere unveiling of the cover of Dave’s 3rd book: Who’s Your Founding Father? And, of course, the pod that brought you the NCTayTay Tournament breaks down every last crazy theory and deep insight into Taylor Swift’s surprise announcement of Midnight her next (and Dave says, last) album. Tune in for everything you need to know about UGA’s Debut, Davey’s debut and especially TayTay’s Debut!
Season 3 of ESPN's only Father/Daughter podcast starts with an ITO classic as the Flems recount their epic, hilarious, summertime adventures across the globe, starting in Cannes, France where Ally "slived" with Paris Hilton, Megan Thee Stallion and the CMO from Walmart (?) and squared off with French pickpockets while Dave beefed with French toddlers. From there it was off to the Amalfi Coast for a mountain-top showdown with a goat-herding Mets fan on a donkey (honest) and a Ulysses-esque sequel to the Hike From Hell before returning stateside for a trip to the mosh-pit two years in the making. Your favorite Flems are back and it's time to catch up! And be sure to check out Ally, Paris, the goats and the rest of Hot Dave Summer (Part Deux) on the ITO Insta page!
Still obsessing about the Slap heard ‘round the world at the Oscars the Flems break down that viral moment before engaging in a thesis-level discussion about anything and everything in the world that “Slaps” - from music, to fashion to TV, and, of course, slap shots and Ally’s psuper psychic pick for the Stanley Cup.
The Flems embrace this crazy Oscar season with a Davey Hollywood Classic tale of Dave’s work as an extra alongside Mark Wahlberg on the movie set for the football film Invincible. Did Davey make the cut and become best friends with Dirk Diggler or did he end up taped to the goalpost? Tune in to find out and check out the show Insta for some great pics from the movie set.
With In Timeout approaching 64 episodes just as the 2022 NCAA Tourney gets underway, the Flems decided to do a full tournament bracket, breaking down every episode they've ever recorded. Take a hilarious trip down memory lane with Ally and Dave (and their new fav player: Florida's Phlandrous Fleming Jr.) to find out which classic ITO eps will survive and advance. Can Arby's Meat Mountain get past Britney and the Hike from Hell? How will NCTayTay match up against the Ultimate Dad Fashion Quiz? Who will make the Flem Final Four: Jock Jams, Met Ball Meets Football, Rainbow Babies, Eat-Spray-Love, Ally's Moment of Tooth or The Tao of Poo? And be sure to vote for your own Flem Final Four Fav at the show's Insta.
With no more football and the basketball tournament far away, to entertain themselves, the Flems challenged each other to watch their favorite shows, Gossip Girl and Seinfeld!!!
After predicting the winner of Super Bowl LVI a month in advance, Ally gives the final, definitive break down of the most important, entertaining parts of any Super Bowl - the commercials, the halftime show and all the weird prop bets.
After predicting a month ago that the Rams would make the Super Bowl, Ally tackles all the craziest prop bets from the big game. How long will the National Anthem take? Will Snoop smoke during halftime? What’s the over/under on cute dogs in Super Bowl commercials? Will a fat guy score a TD? And what color will the Gatorade shower be? All the answers you seek will be revealed in this ep by your Super Bowl Psychic Ally.
With NFL playoff game temperatures dipping well below zero, the Flems break down the weird football and fan tradition of happily freezing to death - sometimes, literally, as you’ll learn with a classic Ally investigation into the infamous 1967 Ice Bowl in Green Bay. There’s also chicken broth, French fry heating lamps for fans, North Pole marathons, frozen beer, Dave’s close calls with frostbite, frozen tears in Cleveland and a cold-hearted story about a Buffalo Bills QB.
The Flems recap their epic road trip to Indy to watch Ally’s Georgia Bulldogs crush Alabama (finally) and win their first national championship in 41 years. Come along on this once-in-a-lifetime journey through tears, boos, celeb sightings, freezing temps, a national spotlight, 15-hour drives, little old ladies, and lots and lots of barking.
Before heading up to Indianapolis for an epic pod road trip to the #NCAA Championship game between #Georgia and #Alabama the Flems drop 22 fearless predictions for 2022. To make things interesting, Ally handles the sports predictions for the Super Bowl, the Stanley Cup, the Winter Olympics, the NFL Draft (and more) and Dave handles all the pop culture predictions for the Oscars, Lolla '22, fashion trends, the Kardashians and so much more. The Flems also predict the final score of the big game and which UGA player they plan to tackle on the field during the post-game celebration. Be sure to follow along in real time during the ITO Road Trip to the Natty on our Insta and Facebook pages.
Join the Flems as they celebrate the holidays with a podcasting version of the crazy holiday office party complete with Holiday Seltzer taste-testing, a rare guest appearance by Flerm the show mascot, listener shoutouts, inside information on a new #ESPNDaily project Dave's developing and discussions on the best Christmas gifts, songs, movies, memories, rituals, ornaments, food and a brilliant solution for last-second #GirlDad gift-shopping nightmares (In Biebs We Trust). There's also a #UGA bet and prediction on the national semifinal and a full dissertation from  Ally on the term "Cheugy."
