Healthy Thinking Patterns

Healthy Thinking Patterns

2022-01-1101:00:30

If there's one thing that stands in the way of people making changes in their lives, it's their thoughts. Our thoughts can be powerful barriers to change, but they can also be helpful tools for growth. In this episode, we'll explore how to overcome the #1 barrier: our thoughts. We'll look at some healthy thinking patterns that can help us make positive changes in our lives, and we'll learn how to use these patterns to our advantage. In this episode of Trail Angels powered by Cairn the Load, Mark and Annette will be discussing Healthy Thinking Patterns. We share some powerful tools that will be helpful to understand our true identity, our worth, and how worth is different than "worthiness." We discuss common inaccurate thinking patterns and "triggers," what they are and how we respond to them, and ultimately healthy thinking patterns and how we can change our thoughts to a healthier way of thinking.  Grab a paper and pencil, and be prepared to join us as we learn how to create Healthy Thinking Patterns. Common Inaccurate Thinking PatternsAll or Nothing, Mislabeling, Jumping to Conclusions, Personalizing, Emotional Reasoning, Overgeneralization, Negative Mental Filter, Discounting the Positive, Magnification, "Should" Statements. At the core of every thought, you have a belief. Your beliefs determine your thoughts, feelings, actions, and behaviors. In other words, your beliefs are what shape your entire experience of reality. If you don't believe something is possible, you'll never be able to make it happen. If your beliefs limit your progress towards your goals, your life will always be stuck in a rut, and you'll never achieve your full potential. What makes your life better: your time, energy, or thoughts? It takes as much mental effort as positive thoughts as negative ones. If we want to change our lives for the better, we need to stop accepting our limiting beliefs just because they're comfortable. Sometimes your thoughts can help your efforts, but other times your thoughts will do nothing but reinforce your current situation. If you want to move forward in your life, you have to start thinking differently. You need to take control of your mind and take responsibility for your mental patterns.
In the last few years, we've all experienced an emotional roller coaster ride that can be caused by things such as economic uncertainty or natural disasters-- but there's hope on its way! A lot of people might feel like giving up when things get tough; however, it doesn't have to be that way! Emotional resilience is the ability to handle negative emotions such as anger, sadness, or fear without resorting immediately to self-defeating thoughts. This course will help you develop tools that can be used when dealing with difficult situations for your mind and body to continue living and live in Peace, Harmony, and ultimately happiness!Building emotional strength through a higher power is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves. We all have days when nothing goes right, and it seems like no matter what you try; your mood will never improve, or some other negative thought comes into play whether on its own accord or because someone else planted such seeds in our minds telling us that there was something wrong with how happy/sad, etc. Being able to build up stronger feelings from deep inside helps combat these bad vibes by giving us hope again!Join Mark & Annette as they share experiences that have helped them build emotional strength in vulnerable ways.
In this episode of Trail Angels powered by Cairn the Load Annette and Mark have an incredible conversation with Paul Henderson.Part of the reason Paul wrote Slave No More: Conquering the Master Within is because of the observed parallels between chattel slavery and an enslaved mindset. As a historian and a teacher, Paul continued to explore this fascinating concept, and the more he studied, the more convinced he became of the parallels. Both individuals are bound; only one is physically bound to his master/slave owner, and the other is bound to a thought process, past life circumstances, failure, etc. When we observe those who led the way in the fight for freedom, there was one clear and common trait: a strong, burning vision. That burning desire for freedom allowed them to go against all odds, overcome any adversity that could have been seen as a roadblock, and in the end, accomplish their goal: freedom. At the same time, the individuals Paul interviewed overcame an enslaved mindset and showed the exact same characteristics. They had a strong vision that allowed them to overcome obstacles and live a life beyond the limiting thoughts that once held them bound. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Paul as he recounted the process of interviewing amazing individuals, learning from them, weaving their real stories through a fictional storyline, and coming to the decision that he would be a #SlaveNoMore. Paul made a decision to no longer be enslaved to limiting thoughts, and choose to overcome that master that held him bound.Mark and Annette have also chosen to live a life free from limits, and are having the time of their lives. We hope you enjoy this incredible conversation as much as we did! What’s your story? Are You Ready To Be A #SlaveNoMore
