In this episode I am joined by Kat Borgwardt. She started kite surfing 20 years ago, right when the sport was born! Since then she has won countless competitions, been on road trips all over the world, runs a very successful kite boarding school in Germany and has a paradise resort in the Philippines!

Bjarne has been on more ski adventures than most of us could ever day dream about. Not only has he skied some of the steepest and most exposed lines in the world, he has done so with heavy cameras strapped to him! Although these accomplishments are already enough to separate him from what most of us would dare; it's his big heart, life experiences and incredible work ethics that we can really learn from. In this episode we weave through a variety of his projects, motivations, fears and life objectives. I really enjoyed this chat and feel there are so many take away points. A great listen for skiers, film makers and life lovers.

Fred works for the PGHM which is Chamonix's mountain rescue service, one of the busiest and most technically competent in the world. In addition to this he is a very competent Alpinist (and Guide) as well as a great paragliding pilot.Fred tells us how he started with the PGHM and how they operate as a team. He goes on to tell us about his thoughts on flying and alpinism in the mountains, offering great advice.we learn about a VolBiv trip to India which didn't quite go to plan and finally how he rationalises the rescues that he is involved in on a very regular basis into his own personal life and activities. 

In this episode David tells us about how he grew up climbing in an adventurous family, then how he went on to become a certified IFGMA guide at the young age of 23. He tells us about the mentors that he had as a younger alpinist and how they influenced him into becoming a performance mountain athlete that focuses on climbing some of the worlds highest mountains without supplementary oxygen.David gives us some great insights as how he trains both physically and mentally for these, as well as how he deals with the failures that come hand in hand with high Himalayan objectives. We finish up the chat talking a little about paragliding and how he see’s that fitting in with his future plans. I really enjoyed listening to David, he has a wonderful outlook and is a real inspiration. 

Jonno makes skis. He also ski's them really well.
