Following on from our previous week's conversation about why kids "hire" porn to do the job, I have had several moms ask these 2 important questions.1. When is too early to talk about pornography and exploitation/sex? 2. How on earth do I even start the conversation? In this episode, I unpack both those subjects with some advice and tools to help you.
Kids, young and old, no longer peek at porn because they are curious. There's a lot more to it than meets the eye. It's becoming a trusted source of information for many with devastating results. Sadly, no child or family is saved from this, unless we step up and step in to save the kids. Remember, be prepared, nor scared. There is power in knowledge and wisdom!
Brent Cary was unknowingly groomed for sexual exploitation by his hockey coach at the of age 17. He was one of the "lucky ones".  Or so he thought. 30 years later, a reporter investigating other grooming accusations pertaining to the same coach, contacted him and started to ask him questions which lead to the realisation which many of us miss. Listen as Brent shares his story, fearless facts on how to identify the grooming process and strategic solutions to an age old problem still taking places worldwide. If any of the issues we tough on raise a red flag for you, if you think you are being groomed or someone you know might be groomed, I urge you to contact your nearest Police who will direct you with the best possible help. We'd love for you to share this episode with other concerned parents and/or students to raise greater awareness and shine a light in the darkness for someone who might be in need of help right now.
Today, I talk to Madeleibe Black, who is an author and multiple rape survivor. Madeleine was violently gang raped when she was thirteen years old, and raped three more times before the age of eighteen, Madeleine has experienced more trauma in her life than most ever will. Living in a state of shock and self-loathing, it took her years of struggle to confront the buried memories of that first attack and begin to undo the damage it wrought. Yet, after growing up with a burden no teenager should ever have to shoulder, she found the heart to carry out the best revenge plan of all; leading a fulfilling and happy life.  For Madeleine, forgiveness was the key.  True forgiveness takes genuine effort.  It takes a real desire to understand those who have done us so much harm.  It is the ultimate act of courage.Read more here and connect with Madeleine online. https://madeleineblack.co.uk/https://www.facebook.com/madeleine.geddyblackhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/madeleineblackspeaker444/
