Conjuring up images of the outdoors will often bring forth pictures of rolling, green, grassy hills; colourful shrubs; massive, looming trees and calm glassy waters. But there is a certain amount of danger in the wilderness, even for those who are experienced and knowledgeable. In this episode of Cold-Case Detective, we’ll be exploring three eerie, unexplained cases of missing hunters.
Peter Sutcliffe, the Yorkshire Ripper, was the most infamous and terrifying serial killer in Britain of the 20th century. Active as early as 1969, Sutcliffe was ultimately arrested for the murder of 13 women and attempting to murder a further 7 more. The Yorkshire Ripper attacks and the media circus surrounding his activity scarred the nation and lead to an enormous, desperate police operation to catch the killer, unlike any other in the history of Great Britain. It remains to this day among the most famous, controversial & significant manhunts ever undertaken in Britain. In this special episode of Cold Case Detective, we were able to interview the extremely knowledgeable and experienced West Yorkshire police officer Bill Blackwood! Bill lived through the Yorkshire Ripper's reign of terror in Yorkshire at the time, and joined the West Yorkshire police force in 1982.
London in the Victorian era was far from the glamorous, picturesque capital city that we know today. It was a cluster of new developments aimed at the wealthy, and overcrowded hovels in which the lower classes were subject to the grimmest conditions without proper hygiene and with poor sanitation. This grisly backdrop provided the perfect cover for many of the city’s most brutal killers, whose crimes went unpunished and whose victims have largely been forgotten about due to the passage of time. In today’s video, we’ll be shedding light on two heinous unsolved cases from Victorian era London.
There are steps that investigators must take when attempting to solve a case. They must look into witness accounts; collect crime scene evidence; look for clues in the area and in the victim’s life. They must comb through handfuls of different aspects of a person's life meticulously because the tiniest shred of information could lead to a breakthrough in the case. But, sadly, there are some cases where so little information is available that the case becomes near impossible to solve. In today’s video, we’ll be exploring four cold cases with no clues or evidence…

However, to those familiar with true-crime, there is a much more serious and sinister meaning behind the term. That's ridiculous. You can't rule someone out due to then having a bright future ahead and being a supposed good character. Fred West was thought of as a good chap and yet look what he and Rose did. I think Eddie tried it on with Christine and either accidentally or intentionally, Eddie hurt her and then covered it up.
