Adulthood is a journey we take with curiosity and a little hint of hesitation. It comes with a series of self-discoveries, realizations, and looking inside the recesses of our being. Today, I share with you the story of Shine, a dejected pig who has lived in the shadow of darkness for a long time. She soon met a wise, little pig who helped her find the light she didn’t know she had. The second story is about a princess named Isi who adamantly believes she is a pauper. A hippie porcupine helped her realize she has plentiforous blessings if only she learns to recognize them. My last story inspects the relationships we share with people, especially with those who are closest to us. It’s the story of two sisters, the Queen of Swords and the Queen of Words. They were very close and loved each other so dearly; however, worldly pursuits separated them and changed their lives altogether. Can they find their way back to the love they once had?    “The unexamined corners of our hearts can lead to a lot of pain.” - Indra Lahiri   Subscribe to the podcast on: Apple Podcast Spotify Google Play Stitcher   In This Episode:   - How showing compassion to those we don’t love leads to healing.   - The one, simple thing you must do to get everything your heart desires.   - How a little love can go a long way.   - The secret from long ago that was blown by the wind and swept by the sea.    - How we are all two sides of one hole, born to complete one another.   Resources: - Plentiforous the Porcupine, the Platypus, and the Pauper Princess https://indralokaanimalsanctuary.wordpress.com/2019/01/20/plentiforous-the-porcupine-the-platypus-and-the-pauper-princess/   Connect with Indra:   - Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/Indralokaanimalsanctuary/   - Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/IndralokaAS   - Twitter - https://twitter.com/IndralokaAS   - Website - https://indraloka.org/
Animals have emotions just like humans, however they tend to interpret them better than us. In this episode, I tell the story of Maja the Fabu who once lived on a magical sanctuary where he had many friends, but none that were like him. Maja learned from Mother Superior that love will live on forever, and that lesson he remembered his whole life. Next, I tell the story of Lucy the Goose who lived with the wild geese year-round, until one day she injured her wings and was no longer able to fly. She was taken in by humans who she grew to trust and love, and eventually accepted that she could no longer fly with her flock.     “This is probably the most important lesson that I’ve learned over and over and over again, that is, the power in Love.”  - Indra Lahiri    Subscribe to the podcast on: Apple Podcast Spotify Google Play Stitcher   In This Episode:    - The key to releasing the magic in the world   - How even though you may have friends, you can still be lonely if no one relates to you   - The power of Love and why you should love all things   - How believing can lead to achieving and why this will help you accomplish your goals   - Understanding the emotions in animals and how they are very similar to humans   Resources:   - Once a Lonely Peacock Blog - https://indralokaanimalsanctuary.wordpress.com/2015/06/23/789/   - The Goose that Flies without Wings - https://indralokaanimalsanctuary.wordpress.com/2012/12/29/the-goose-that-flies-without-wings/   Connect with Indra:   - Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/Indralokaanimalsanctuary/   - Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/IndralokaAS   - Twitter - https://twitter.com/IndralokaAS   - Website - https://indraloka.org/
Every animal in the world deserves a good, peaceful life. In today’s episode, I tell you the story of calf #8561, Mo, who had weakened legs and no purpose to a farmer; however, she eventually found her purpose and began to help others. The next story is about a pig named Raymond who lived a hard life; but one day, his kindness brought him to heaven. My last story explains my experience with truly living my life alongside Big Boy, the rooster. Tune in to learn how I connected with the animals in my sanctuary.    “I realized that seeing and hearing things with my eyes and ears was merely a shallow substitute.” - Indra Lahiri   Subscribe to the podcast on: Apple Podcast Spotify Google Play Stitcher   In This Episode:    - How you may have no purpose to one person, but to others, you are their purpose   - The meaning of pacifist and how a pig can portray this trait   - Why being kind to others will get you where you want or need to be   - The true meaning of “Hoka Hey” and why you should live by this   - Why you need to develop compassion in order to truly live your life   Connect with Indra:   - Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/Indralokaanimalsanctuary/   - Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/IndralokaAS   - Twitter - https://twitter.com/IndralokaAS   - Website - https://indraloka.org/

Pignificent & I Am

Sometimes all we need is a little love. In the first story, I’ll tell you about how I met Pigmont, a pig no one else wanted because he wasn’t a cute or beautiful pig. However, he was beautiful to me, and I was happy to give him a loving home. The second story is about a very fearful duck named Abhay. This little duckie was terrified of everyone, even other animals! With a little love and encouragement, he learned to believe in himself and he became strong and fearless. Listen now to learn about how love and acceptance can make us happy and confident.   “All the stories are true on a heart level.” - Indra Lahiri    Subscribe to the podcast on: Apple Podcast Spotify Google Play Stitcher   In This Episode:   - Learning to love what’s on the inside, not the outside   - Everyone deserves to be loved and accepted for who they are   - Sometimes if you’re afraid, others are afraid, too   - Telling yourself you are brave can make you brave for real   - Learn to see past your fears and you will make friends   Connect with Indra:   - Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/Indralokaanimalsanctuary/   - Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/IndralokaAS   - Twitter - https://twitter.com/IndralokaAS   - Website - https://indraloka.org/
