Filing systems, home decluttering, kitchen and bathroom cabinets... life is a constant dance between having "stuff" and getting that "stuff" in the right place. We discuss the different ways we organize our lives an touch on how we deal with keeping up with having things in order. In some cases we're on top of, and in other instances, we simply suck at it! Let's get schmoozing!

We are hearing the term a lot "This person is to be canceled", "I am canceling you" and other references to "cancel culture". Rita and Salima have an issue with this phrase because it doesn't actually mean just one thing. Instead, it encompasses a whole lot of ideas about group structures, consumer behavior and relationships. Join us in this conversation about cancel culture and see what conclusion we reach! Let's get schmoozing
We dive into the mindset of people, especially women, who decide NOT to have kids or who are simply unsure if they want to have kids or not. What about fear of future regret for not having kids? Salima and Rita share their advice on how they got over that dilemma and alternative ways to feel love and part of a family. Let's get schmoozing!

There are things we felt we no longer need to give a fuck about and this is what we discuss in our first podcast of 2022. The pandemic made many of us reconsider our top values and priorities in life which means some of what used to worry us no longer affects us. We share the top aspects of our lives and our mind that we either stopped giving a rat's ass about or are trying our best to disengage from. We all  feel it: an inexplicable burn out. A lack of motivation and inspiration. A need for more rest, and hesitation when making plans for future. This is the pandemic fatigue we are going through. In light of this, Salima and Rita are giving themselves a little break and the Schmooze and Booze podcast shall return in December 2021.
The Chariot card is the 7th card of the Major Arcana.  This powerful card encourages us to keep moving forward to achieve our goals. The energy of the whole universe is conspiring in our favor to get things done! On your big chariot, you might also be traveling soon, a trip that will shape your life and move you one step closer to your dreams. Rita got married in August 2021 and she had a tiny wedding ceremony. This beautiful small ceremony allowed her to really focus on her connection with her husband and the family and friends who came to celebrate. Many couples decided to have small weddings during the COVID19 pandemic and this is definitely a growing trend as it costs less and allows the bride and groom to enjoy their special day in a relaxed, stress-free manner.  Do you prefer big wedding parties or small intimate receptions? The Lovers card is the 6th card of the Major Arcana. It reminds us of the importance of being totally naked with our emotions to reach deep connections with those we love. The symbolism in the card is intense and also alludes to passion and duality. The card not only refers to the love in a romantic relationship but can also point at the union formed in all kinds of situations such as business partnerships, cultural clubs, or any situation where two or more individuals share a bond. How does the Lovers' card resonate with you? Let's schmooze and tarot! Buy your Tarot Deck here. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/schmooze_booze/
Online shopping has increased by almost 50% in the last two years thanks to the COVID19 pandemic. Salima has been an avid online shopper for many years while Rita started buying things online mainly during the pandemic. We share our perspectives, our favorite online shops and whether or not we prefer the good old brick and mortar experience. We also touch on where we are at with "the new normal" and the opening of the economy. Finally, Salima's taken the bold step to starting therapy and is sharing how she felt after her very first session. Let's get schmoozing!  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/schmooze_booze/
The Hierophant is card #5 in the major Arcana and come to remind us of the value that traditional institutions have in our lives. This "pope-looking" character also encourages us to take a path of education and always seek knowledge. The Hierophant is a kind guide, however, if this card is upside down, it might be a manipulative figure. Could it be that it's also time to chatter traditional "taboos" and break out of the mold of convetionality? This card is packed with wisdom and worth taking a few days to reflect on. In our opinion, the most important quality to look for in any relationship is support. Especially when it comes to selecting our romantic life partner, we must know how to recognize a supportive partner from a non-supportive one. As Salima puts it: when you are in a non-supportive relationship,it's an early death sentence! Let's get schmoozing :) Link to article: https://www.marriage.com/advice/relationship/steps-to-becoming-a-supportive-partner/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/schmooze_booze/
Card #4 in the Major Arcana is The Emperor, a card that reminds us of masculine energy, power, and authority. Depending on when this card shows up in a reading, it could be a card that encourages you to step into your power, or it can be a card warning you about exerting your strength in detrimental ways. A very helpful card to make us reflect on masculine energy and the responsibility that comes with power. Let's get schmoozing with Tarot :) Buy your Tarot Deck here.
