I have always wondered, how does a new business take that "next step" into becoming an established one?  How can the business founders afford to get all the help that they need in making this happen? In this episode Robert Winspear of Seedlegals pulls back the curtain on how businesses can seek funding.  Although in the past this process was typically lengthy and costly, Seedlegals have looked to simplify the process for their clients and, by streamlining the application, reduce the price for their customer. Some top takeaways for this episode:-1. There are a few different ways to obtain funding, meaning you have some flexibility as to which process you choose; and2. In the process of obtaining funding your business will be valued, giving you a better idea as to what sort of asset you have.As always, make sure to obtain independent advice as to whether your business is ready for a funding round!  Check out Seedlegals here:-https://seedlegals.com/Head on over to The Freelance Entrepreneur website to check out the new Facebook group, as well as how to contact me:-https://thefreelanceentrepreneur.co.uk/Don't forget to subscribe to get notification on future episodes and I'll see you next time.#entrepreneur #freelance #podcast #business #businessfunding #seedlegals
Steve Jobs once famously said that "you start with the customer experience and work backwards...", but what exactly is meant by customer experience?  Is it really that important to a business? In this episode, Ilenia Vidili of The Smarter Crew, explains the basics of customer experience and why it is a vital consideration when trying to grow your customer base.  We also talk about how ensuring that a customer has a good interaction with your company can turn them into a powerful advocate for your business.  Sometimes this can be something as simple as simply giving the customer what you promised them! The top take-aways from this episode for me:-1. Leaving customers with a positive experience can result in them telling others and creating a snowball effect; and2. One of the key words to build a positive customer experience is "trust".If you would like to read more about Ilenia and how she can help you check her out on her website here:-https://thesmartercrew.com/Head on over to The Freelance Entrepreneur website to check out the new Facebook group, as well as how to contact me:-https://thefreelanceentrepreneur.co.uk/Don't forget to subscribe to get notification on future episodes and I'll see you next time.#entrepreneur #freelance #podcast #business #customerexperience

An introduction

An introduction

Welcome to the first ever episode of the Freelance Entrepreneur podcast.  A place designed by someone new to the business world.  Before making the leap to starting up my own business, I would listen to lots of podcasts, as well as doing a lot of research online to understand if what I was planning to do would work. I found that there were not that many available resources based in the UK to gain an insight into things I wanted to know.  The questions swirling in my mind were things such as "am I better off as a limited company or a sole trader", "how do I even start up a limited company" and "am I even good enough to be doing this".  So, I decided to create this podcast from scratch, with a view to providing a foundation to grow a knowledge network.  I will be asking the simple questions to a range of experts to find the answers to common problems people may be experiencing early on.In this introduction I give you a brief insight as to what you can expect from this podcast moving forward.  In this season we speak with experts on:-1. Self-worth;2. Stress and anxiety; and3. Financial planning.  As well as much much more...So, subscribe, leave a review and let's jump in together.  Want more?  Check out the website for a link to the young and fresh Facebook group!https://thefreelanceentrepreneur.co.uk/#entrepreneur #freelance #podcast
