A key step in cultivating a deep life is reflecting on what matters to you and the best strategies for pursuing it. What is the correct first step in transforming your life into something deeper? Traditional advice says to start with a clear vision of what you value. Cal has been arguing that it’s instead more important to develop a foundation of discipline. We talk a lot on this show about remaining organized in a digital workplace that drowns us with incoming obligations. In this episode, Cal focuses on the key question of how you get *started* toward this goal. What do you do, in other words, on day one of your quest to find depth amidst the shallows.  Below are the questions covered in today's episode (with their timestamps). You're podcast becoming meaningless Please, don't only ask-answer. Make a plan You're talking for 1 hour 30 min about nothing

It's kind of boring that the other hosts just says things like 'yeah cool' , 'interesting' , etc ... I mean you should either talk about a topic with him and include him or just host the podcast by yourself like before.

I think this has the best discussion about "how" you need to start your realistic time block planning. Face the productivity dragon, accept you may need more time than you are currently allowing for job demands than you may be assigning at present and are then going over the time you want to be working; effectively sacrificing you spare time.

can you make an app/website rather than a time block planner book... like the one similar to toggle but a it bit more flexible

01:01:46 this part about the need for two clashing theories is very interesting! Noticing where this does not apply could help to discourage dogma in so many places.

Another practical episode and I particularly liked the focus on prioritisation and even the radicalisation slot at the end.
