Revision 1 - Dot Lung

Revision 1 - Dot Lung

2019-11-0401:28:54

With us today, we have Dot Lung. A proclaimed "Mother of Social Media Dragons." A title earned from traveling and learning how best to create a high-standing in the Social-Media world. Through her various experiences and her "addiction" to social media, Dot has garnered a lot of insight into how to "hack the algorithm" for Instagram and Facebook. Over time, she has refined this method into, what she calls, the Dragons Formula. The formula (D.R.A.G.O.N.) is an acronym that will serve as a guide to achieving a better experience, as you create content for social media. Today, Dot has graciously agreed to share this formula with us on our debut-episode. Take notes, as we not only talk about the formula but get really real about our own life experiences.Show Notes Bergen Social Media days: https://bergen.socialmediadays.no/The Salmon Experience: https://www.instagram.com/tv/Bycg5XEFZUe/Dot Lunghttp://www.dotlung.com/https://www.instagram.com/dotlung/https://www.linkedin.com/in/dotlung/https://www.facebook.com/dotlung.coDesign Revisionhttps://uting.no/designrevision/Uting Designhttps://uting.nohttps://www.facebook.com/utingdesign/https://www.instagram.com/uting_design/https://www.linkedin.com/company/uting-design/

In this episode, the trio sit down and discuss the ever-dreaded "imposter syndrome." We look at the definitions and explanations of the syndrome, as well as discuss how we have individually felt like an "imposter" in our respective fields. There are ways of tackling this, and we touch on a few of them. For now, we hope to mainly start the conversation and make people aware that this is something we all need to talk about. Awards and competitions are a thing of contention in the creative community. Normally community driven competitions, are considered friendly, open, and a place for you to learn from your peers. However, there are the bigger competitions that seem to have sketchy fine print. But do these bigger awards matter? And what should you be cautious of when participating? Kenneth, James and Arjun sit around the table and discuss the pitfalls and merits. One man short, the dynamic (now) duo, James and Arjun discuss the notion of how hard work beats talent. They ramble and diverge into music, social media posting, online tutorials, and the confidence you need to foster in order to keep pushing yourself. The benefits of hard work, what it teaches you; breaking your own mental barriers and how much they actually miss Kenneth to keep them on topic. The Trio sit around the table and reflect on how they got to their current career-junctions. They talk about why they made the academic and professional choices that they did, then discuss the merits of doing something similar today. How have things changed? With information available for free across the globe, is there any point to going the traditional academic route?Design Revision https://uting.no/designrevision/ Uting Design https://uting.no  https://www.facebook.com/utingdesign/  https://www.instagram.com/uting_design/  https://www.linkedin.com/company/uting-design/
