On this episode of the Cat® Power Podcast, Caterpillar Oil & Gas Account Manager, Chris Berrie, discusses the Cat Energy Storage System, an integrated oil field, hybrid energy storage solution that helps customers lower costs of operations while addressing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals. This scalable and mobile energy system with a heavy-duty battery structure has proven field success in land drilling applications and can be applied in any oil field application where electric power is required.
At Caterpillar, we understand the oilfield. Batteries are a modern, power dense tool, that when paired with our gensets, enable dependable power that customers can rely on whenever they need them. Listen to host Sergio Tigera as he discusses the future of battery power in oil and gas applications with Will Kernan, Caterpillar Oil & Gas Product Strategist, in this episode of the Cat® Power Podcast.
Naval architect Robert Allan, Ltd. is one of the main players in the global tug industry, designing around 100 vessels built around the world each year. Project manager Allan Turner joins the Cat Power Podcast to talk about how today’s emissions standards – U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final — have affected tug design and how his company worked with Caterpillar to make sure the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system didn’t impact performance or fuel economy. He also weighs in on what’s next for tugs in a reduced-carbon environment.
The Middle East has long been the oil and gas industry’s hub, accounting for one third of the world’s oil production and nearly half of global known oil reserves. Oil and gas is integral to the region’s economy, with oil and gas exports making up as much as 80% of some countries’ GDP. How are pressure for decarbonization, increasing demand for energy and current supply chain shortages affecting oil and gas operations in the Middle East? What are national oil companies doing today to prepare for the future? And what our Caterpillar’s plans to support these efforts? Tune in to this episode of the Cat® Power Podcast to get answers from our territory manager in the Middle East. You’ll also get a high-level look at the hot topics covered at this year’s ADIPEC.
