My guest this week is Tom Harris, who’s become a good friend since we met at the Canada Strong and Free Networking Conference in Ottawa in 2022. Today’s conversation was recorded last week at CSFN 2024 where both Tom and I were sharing with others the importance of not using the language of misguided climate activist who are waging a war against carbon dioxide, a natural and essential component of earth’s atmosphere.Follow Tom’s important work and extensive research at the International Climate Science Coalition—Canada: https://www.icsc-canada.comYou can read my recent communique (Axing the Tax is Not Enough) here: https://www.chp.ca/commentary/axing-the-tax-is-not-enough-we-must-defend-co2?utm_source=Communique&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=CommuniqueApr092024&utm_content=MoreLinkRead Tom’s article (Conservative Leaders Must Stop Promoting Climate Scare) here: https://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/harris-conservative-leaders-must-stop-promoting-climate-scare
My guest this week is Maggie Hope Braun, an articulate advocate for local decision-making, protection of private property rights and individual freedom. We discuss the imposition of land-use and other policies by organizations like the UN, the WEF and ICLEI (International Council on Local and Environmental Issues) . . . and Maggie’s successful efforts to educate municipal councils and to encourage them to re-assert local governance. She encourages other Canadians to become active and involved at the municipal level as well as in provincial and national arenas. Read Maggie’s Primer on resisting global pressure here: https://gather2030.substack.com/p/kiclei-primer-pdf Watch Maggie’s in-depth interview with Odessa Orlewicz here: https://rumble.com/v4ha63b-urgent-how-to-take-canada-back-from-united-nations-agenda-21-with-maggie-br.html
My guest this week is Jakki Jeffs, Executive Director of Alliance for Life Ontario. We discuss the dark and hidden elements of the Trudeau government’s latest and most aggressive attempt to censor public opinion that does not support their socialist and anti-family agenda.  Learn more about Jakki and Alliance for Life Ontario at: https://allianceforlifeontario.ca For more details about Bill C-63 . . . My guest this week is Angelina Ireland, Executive Director of the Delta Hospice Society. We begin with a short interview followed by a recording of her presentation on the status of palliative care in BC and Canada following government promotion of doctor-assisted suicide and euthanasia. She tells us what actions we can take to protect ourselves and our loved ones from increasingly hostile and aggressive governments Learn more about the Delta Hospice Society and their Do Not Euthanize (DNE) and Guardian Angels programs at:  https://deltahospicesociety.org
My guest this week is Carson Binda, BC Director for the Canadian Taxpayers Federation. We discuss BC’s soaring debt-and-deficit problem and also touch on the exorbitant raise federal MPs are giving themselves while ordinary Canadians are struggling to make ends meet. On the same day as they get their raise (April 1), the useless and damaging Carbon Tax will also go up…and no, it’s not covered by the ridiculous rebates. Learn more about the Canadian Taxpayers Federation at: https://www.taxpayer.com
My guest this week is Andrew DeBartolo, Director of Operations at Liberty Coalition Canada. Andrew shares with us the mission and vision of LCC and tells us about an exciting 1-day conference they are planning to be held on three different dates in three different cities; the conference is called Politics in the Pulpit and will help attendees develop a better understanding of the role of the church in setting political and societal objectives for the nation and will also help folks with the practical tools to engage properly in both spheres: the church and the public square. Learn more about Liberty Coalition and consider registering for the conference (details on the home page) at: https://libertycoalitioncanada.com/politicsinthepulpit/Contact Andrew directly at: churches@libertycoalitioncanada.com
My guest this week is Stephanie Bakker, mother of two children, who lives with her husband in Westlock, Alberta, the town where she was raised. She and her husband started the Neutrality Bylaw Team in an effort to challenge the town council’s DEI bias. After 8 months of petitioning and hard work, Stephanie and the Team were able to have the council—reluctantly—pass a bylaw requiring all flags and crosswalks to remain neutral, effectively removing the Pride crosswalk and flags. Her courageous citizen initiative in local matters is a great example for all of us across the country. Learn more about the successful efforts of Stephanie and the Neutrality Bylaw Team at: http://westlockneutrality.com

For CHP Talks this week, I offer a short monologue on NDP MP Charlie Angus’s Private Member’s Bill C-372. The Bill is one more attempt by the Liberal / NDP coalition government to destroy Canada’s oil and gas sector. It is one more bill designed to intimidate and censor the voices of people with whom they disagree. Text of Bill C-372: https://www.parl.ca/DocumentViewer/en/44-1/bill/C-372/first-readingCanadian Taxpayers Federation on CBC bonuses: https://www.taxpayer.com/newsroom/tait-must-do-right-thing-and-end-cbc-bonuses

My guest this week is Chartered Financial Analyst, Lex Acker. Mr. Acker has uncovered a very interesting story about a loophole built into the BC NDP’s 2017 “electoral finance reform” legislation. The loophole allowed the NDP to receive significant contributions from supporters who have died, even after strict contribution limits were imposed on living residents, unions and corporations . . . as long as those testamentary intentions were signed before 2018. It appears to have been carefully planned to benefit the NDP over other parties and raises a number of ethical questions. You can read Lex’s detailed post about this here: https://freedomandinvesting.substack.com/p/dead-people-donated-to-bcndp Other interesting articles by Mr. Acker can be found at his substack, Truth, Investing and Freedom, here: https://freedomandinvesting.substack.com
My guest this week is Dr. William Makis, a Canadian physician with expertise in Radiology, Oncology and Immunology. Dr. Makis—who headquarters his practice in Alberta—details for us the startling increase in “excess Canadian deaths” (48,780 in 2022), linking them to the experimental mRNA vaccines. He also tells us about the shameful cover-up of pedophiles in the higher levels of the health care systems of both Alberta and British Columbia. We also discuss the negative impacts of covid protocols on pregnant women and their babies. You can subscribe to Dr. Makis’s substack, COVID Intel here: https://makismd.substack.comRead Dr. Makis’s excellent article about Canada’s shocking excess deaths here: https://www.globalresearch.ca/canadian-government-admits-48780-excess-deaths-2022-17-increase-mortality-no-evidence-covid-19-vaccines-saved-single-life-canada-during-2021-2022/5844539?doing_wp_cron=1704733389.3154649734497070312500
My guest this week is Linda Gibbons, a woman who has spent 11 years behind bars for offering her silent witness and prayers in front of abortion clinics. There are children in Canada—perhaps as many as 100—who are alive today because Linda was there on the sidewalk in front of the abortion clinic doors, reminding women about the sacred lives of the preborn babies they are carrying. Linda has also witnessed for Christ and prayed for women in the maximum-security prison where she has been repeatedly incarcerated. You can read Linda’s own account of her journey here: Coming to Termshttps://www.chp.ca/images/uploads/Coming_to_Terms.pdf
My guest this week is Tom Harris, Executive Director of the International Climate Science Coalition-Canada (www.iscs-canada.com). We discuss the ISCS’s second report on Ottawa’s $60 billion “Climate Change Master Plan.” In the report, Tom points out the utter insanity of spending unaffordable amounts of taxpayers’ money on a problem that doesn’t exist. We review some of the scientific data that indicates global warming is neither the crisis so many claim it is . . . nor the result of human activity and CO2.Listeners can learn more at: https://www.icsc-canada.comor at: http://climatechangereconsidered.org
My guest this week is Makayla Anderson, a young poet and musician in the Bulkley Valley in Northern BC. We discuss her writings about matters of faith and hope. She and her three sisters—Kalia, Mackenzie and Madison—perform her music and lead worship at various churches and local events. In August, 2023, they made a trip to share their music with Keith and Kristyn Getty and others at an event in Nashville. We talk about the challenges and disappointments that are part of the human condition and the importance of faith and we play a few short segments of her music (links to the lyrics can be found in the episode shownotes). Makayla can be reached at makaylalynn838@gmail.com Lyrics to the segments played on today's episode: (written and copyrighted by Makayla Anderson; reprinted here by permission) Heading Home (Hebrews 11-12) complete lyrics here:  https://docs.google.com/document/d/1c21-7R_4rwozxfTlE_1IRbcqmZqnsLfcrQfGC18Rk8I/edit Time would fail for me to tell of those through historyWho obtained promises, worked righteousness and lived in victoryThey followed the Master’s call to lay down their livesAnd yet, to this very day, their stories still surviveFor they lived by faith, out of weakness were made strongYes they lived by faith and they formed a glorious throngThis world could not receive them for they were not its ownThey were victorious, broken pilgrims heading home . . . . . . . . . . My guest this week is Dr. Charles Lugosi. Dr. Lugosi is a distinguished Constitutional lawyer and has worked in both the USA and Canada. He also is a professor at Liberty University in Virginia and practices law in Victoria, BC. In this episode, he explains the importance of holding clear convictions on matters of life and death. He ties respect for all innocent human life to issues of abortion, euthanasia and conflict in the Middle East. Dr. Lugosi has served as a CHP candidate in the past and does a great job of articulating the logical position of recognizing the sanctity of all human life and protecting it in legislation and the courts.Dr. Lugosi can be reached at: cilugosi@liberty.edu
My guest this week is Mr. Ken Drysdale, Chairman of the team of Commissioners who conducted the National Citizens Inquiry across the country this past year. The NCI held hearings in 8 cities from Nova Scotia to British Columbia. They held 24 days of in-person hearings as well as 3 days of virtual testimony. They heard from over 300 witnesses, including expert witnesses, speaking primarily about the impacts of government actions, edicts and policies in regard to covid on the lives of Canadians—economic costs and health impacts on individuals and families. The NCI Commissioners have now produced their Final Report of 643 pages with analysis and 400 recommendations (see shownotes for url links to the Report). In addition to the report, there are over 4000 pages of transcribed witness testimonies. The actual video footage of the witness testimonies is also available on the NCI site. We owe a debt of gratitude to Mr. Drysdale and the other Commissioners for their important work. To access and download the NCI Final Report:* https://nationalcitizensinquiry.ca/commissioners-report/ *The 4000+ pages of witness transcripts are found in Volume 3. Video recordings of the hearings are found under the menu heading: “Hearings”.
