Neil C. Hughes sits down with Paul Craddock and Manju Gali in a discussion centered around the innovative partnership between Citrix and Stratodesk, shedding light on how these tech giants are spearheading digital transformation while championing IT sustainability.Paul elaborates on the impressive financial benefits for Stratodesk customers, who can save between $500 and $2000 per device annually. This significant expense reduction is achieved by extending the lifecycles of devices and optimizing endpoint management. This strategy benefits the bottom line and aligns with sustainable IT practices.Moving beyond just cost savings, we delved into the realm of IT sustainability, a topic that is increasingly gaining traction in the tech world. Manju provided an insightful overview of Stratodesk's approach to sustainability. The statistics shared were eye-opening, especially regarding the global challenge of e-waste and the importance of energy-efficient practices in IT.A critical aspect of our discussion was the average refresh rate of devices among Stratodesk's customers. The ability to use legacy devices longer is not just a cost-saving measure but also a significant step towards reducing e-waste. This approach aligns perfectly with the growing need for sustainable solutions in the tech industry. The synergy between Stratodesk NoTouch OS and Citrix was another highlight of our conversation. This partnership exemplifies how two tech entities can complement each other to enhance efficiency, security, and sustainability. The use cases discussed clearly show how these combined solutions can be implemented in real-world scenarios, offering tangible benefits to businesses. Our discussion also touched upon the insights Paul and Manju gathered from tech conferences and customer interactions. These insights painted a vivid picture of businesses' primary concerns and challenges at the onset of their digital transformation journey. The themes emerging from these discussions were enlightening and indicative of the trends shaping the tech industry as we approach 2024.

The transformation of work and how we define the workplace have changed considerably over the last two years. As we continue to evolve, hybrid workspaces will become more complicated too, and the days of a one size fits all approach for employees and the devices they use will no longer work in a world where we need more options. Large enterprises also have ESG scores and sustainability to consider before discarding thousands of old laptops or smartphones. But, again, there are many things to consider. For example, not everyone needs a high-powered machine, with task workers needing just a chrome book. But, equally, some teams with more intensive work with requirements around unified communications will need a higher spec device. Kevin Greenway, CTO at 10ZiG Technology, has built a reputation for helping businesses with endpoints, specifically thin and zero clients for cloud workspaces and virtual desktops. Kevin joins Manjunatha Gali from Citrix on the podcast to discuss how companies looking to access Citrix have predominantly connected via Linux, MAC OS, and Windows-based operating systems. But as The workplace is evolving, companies are now looking towards Chromebooks with the introduction of Chrome OS flex.
As we evolve into the future, hybrid workspaces will become more complicated, and this adds up to more cost, more time, and less productivity on all fronts. But the new world of hybrid working is here to stay, and it requires a new approach with higher levels of security, cloud adoption, and an OPEX mindset. Together, Citrix DaaS or VDI, and Flexxible IT are enabling the enterprise to migrate their past to the future, Desktop as a service where you want it and how you want it! Adam Cooperman from Flexxible IT and Manjunatha Gali from Citrix discuss how businesses can simplify their day-to-day life and hide all the complexities. We also discuss how together, they are enabling and facilitating your journey to the hybrid world by providing end-to-end operations and platform support.
Stuart Donnelson, director of community & chief solutions architect, Goliath Technologies joins Manjunatha Gali Manjunatha Gali sr. manager technical marketing, Citrix Ready at Citrix in a conversation about the perception vs. reality of performance monitoring. We explore the importance of collaboration and partnerships in reducing the time to remediation. We also discuss hybrid working and the role end-user experience monitoring will play in building a new future of work. But most importantly of all, how the relationship between Goliath Technologies and Citrix is providing their customers with a proactive approach to IT performance.

We live in a digital world where a desktop and a suite of applications can be made available on any device. But did you know that there are 2.7 billion deskless workers worldwide, comprising over 80% of the total workforce? This episode explores how frontline workers also need to be connected and access multiple applications during their shift. After hearing how ow Zebra Workstation Connect is making it possible to turn Zebra mobile computers into mobile-driven workstations. We felt compelled to learn more about how they do it and their relationship with Citrix. Join Tech Columnist Neil C. Hughes, Scott Lane from Citrix, and Lesly Gonzalez from Zebra technologies in a conversation about the future of mobile-driven workstations front frontline workers. We also discuss how Workstation Connect simplifies the management process of managing the growing number of devices, desktops, and applications.
Andy Philp is a Principal Product Marketing Manager at Nexthink. Andy has worked in various roles in End-User Computing over the last 20 years ranging from consulting, presales, product management, and marketing. In this episode, Andy joins Neil in a conversation about how Desktop as a Service (DaaS ) and VDI often excite businesses while also creating a dilemma for the IT teams. Andy discusses the need to monitor experience across all workspace types, not just physical and virtual, to ensure they have one source of truth. With the increase in interest in desktop virtualization as a response to the pandemic, but as people return to travel and offices, Andy also explains why decisions need to be re-evaluated based on how people need to work. Finally, Andy shares a teaser of how Nexthink and Citrix will be working on integration this year.

The future of work is no longer a binary choice of working from home or in the office. Instead, a more hybrid approach enables staff to choose which environment suits them most, depending on the task at hand. Teams also have the flexibility to work in a combination of the two. For the most part, organizations have seized the opportunity to redefine how they communicate, collaborate, and share ideas. Rather than return to the old way of doing things, leaders are reimagining the workplace. For example, a company called Intermedia is on a mission to make hybrid working better. Intermedia's cloud communications solutions keep you connected wherever work takes you in the office, at home, on the road, or anywhere in between. In today's episode, Michelle Couture, Director of Product Marketing at Intermedia joins James Hsu from Citrix. We discuss how Citrix and Intermedia are working together and the trends they are witnessing from the conversations with organizations, partners, and resellers worldwide. We have already redefined how we work and shop in a digital world. The bigger question is how we can continue to improve the digital experiences around how we communicate and collaborate? How brands and businesses respond to these challenges will play a critical role in retaining customers, talent, and the consumers that power their business. About Michelle Michelle is a marketing leader with over 14 years of experience in communicating and evangelizing the value and benefits of innovative SaaS products and technologies for Intermedia and formally Poly. Organizations that use Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop solutions must secure both their on-premises and cloud environments. Citrix virtual solutions provide flexibility for the workforce but can remain a prime target for attackers since infecting the environment extends their reach greatly. Attackers have demonstrated that they can evade security controls to compromise an internal system, using it as a beachhead to infiltrate the network and target critical or sensitive data and infrastructures, such as Active Directory and Citrix VDI. Organizations must look to new solutions to enhance their security and prevent attackers from remaining undetected within the network. Joesph Salazar from Attivo Networks, the award-winning leader in deception for cybersecurity threat detection, and Rajkumar Repswal from Citrix to discuss how together organizations can protect against active directory attacks with Attivo's Citrix Ready® solution. We discuss how organizations can protect Citrix VDI endpoints against attackers successfully querying Active Directory and AD resources like privileged users, computer groups, and service accounts.
