Description

Gundam Book Club is in its fifth season! Season 1 covered Gundam Sentinel. Season 2 was all about the Revival of Zeon manga created by Kazuhisa Kondo.  A previous season featured Gunpla and the first episode was my top 5 gunpla builds! Season 4 looked at the 1988 manga by Kazuhisa Kondo "The Dogs of War" set in UC 0092. Season 5 starts where season 1 ended. I looked at why Gundam Sentinel was never animated and go behind the scenes of its creation .

Have you ever wondered what Katoki, Takahashi and Asano were thinking as they made Sentinel? What were their influences? What did they think of the world of Gundam? And what is Stream Base and why is it so important to the world of Gundam? This episode will delve in and try to answer these burning questions.  Gundam Sentinel Podcast aka #gundambookclub is performing a critical analysis and commentary and is protected by the Fair Use Clause of the United States Copyright law. Gundam Sentinel delved into various themes including what defines sentience.  A.L.I.C.E. is the AI that was developed and incorporated by the EFF into the design of Superior Gundam.  Recent developments in machine learning are available on cell phones and personal computers including machine learning.  Now, consumers can access large language models (or LLMs) for free including programs such as ChatGPT-3 by Open Ai. Another Gundam podcast I enjoy is Colony Drop.  A few months ago, they had an episode that examined story ideas for Gundam using ChatGPT-3.     Naturally, I decided to give it a try for stories that revolve around Gundam Sentinel. Operation Buran

2023-01-0317:01

This episode covers the short manga story by Kondoh san featuring the immortal Frederick Braun.  This story is set in UC 0079 in the waning days of the One Year War.  Zeon forces are preparing for a special operation deep in Solomon.  Braun was ordered to complete this desperate mission, but will he be able to complete it?  Or will he meet his own nightmare at Solomon/ソロモンの悪夢 (sorry I had to do it)? The Wow Cool Robot podcast inspired me to make this episode.  Gundam Sentinel is my all-time favorite Gundam side story so it only makes sense to do an episode devoted to my ranking of the mobile suits designed by Katoki san and others.    Please remember, this tier list is my personal opinion.  I'm sure some of you will disagree wholeheartedly.  If you are interested, please let me know what you think and share your own rank lists on social media.Gundam Sentinel Podcast aka #gundambookclub is performing a critical analysis and commentary and is protected by the Fair Use Clause of the United States Copyright law. I thought we were done with Sentinel too.  However,  Zeonic Scanlations unearthed some new revelations and I had to discuss them all.  Bombshells like the pesky copyrights issue, and why was Sentinel put into an indefinite hold.  They will all be covered in this episode of Gundam Sentinel Podcast (I'm sorry, Gundam Book Club).Gundam Sentinel Podcast aka #gundambookclub is performing a critical analysis and commentary and is protected by the Fair Use Clause of the United States Copyright law. Surprise! I found a one-off manga by Kazuhisa Kondo. It was released in 1992 and is one of the first manga in the UC continuity that happened outside of the Earth Sphere.
