Ethan Morse and Neal Schrodetzki are sharing the traditions, responsibilities, and legacy of the U.S. Military in a much anticipated four-part docu-series, Honor Guard. The series will premiere streaming on Amazon, December 25, 2020. Throughout 2021, the series will be released to over 50 other streaming services. Honor Guard has been in the works for over three years as Morse and Schrodetzki meticulously detail four unique specialty platoons of the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment in Washington, D.C. The same unit where the two men met and served side by side. Aside from being U.S. veterans together, the pair are established filmmakers and long time friends. They are known for their intense storytelling and their film “The Unknowns” which was a huge success. This time, the duo returned to The Old Guard to dive deeper into some of the specialized services the unit provides, and to highlight the history of The Regiment. Honor Guard is about all of the work that goes into being a Guard of Honor, and explores the emotional and physical burden put upon them by being tasked with protecting our nation's capital. Schrodetzki and Morse were granted exclusive access to film with The Old Guard, in association with the U.S. Army, due to their service in the unit years prior. They were permitted to document 3rd Infantry’s Regimental Orientation Program, The U.S. Army’s caisson Platoon, The U.S. Army’s Drill Team, and the process soldiers undertake to become part of the Full Honors Casket Team. This was truly unique, and adds a very personal and educational aspect to the series. Each part of their show is named after a portion of the specialty training offered by The Old Guard, such as: Caisson, The Regiment, Drill Team, and Full Honors. The duo is accompanied in their mission to honor the fallen by Academy Award® Nominated Actor and Hollywood legend, Sam Elliott, as the narrator of Honor Guard. A conversation with children's book author, Kelly Campbell.Kelly is an 8 year Air Force military spouse and mama who has recently added children’s author to the various hats that she wears! She currently PCS'd to the beautiful state of Idaho. Her first children’s book titled, BLOOM, follows a dandelion seed(named Bloom) on a grand adventure where she calms upon the wisdom from her father to find her way. It is a story of adventure, confidence, and courage. As a military spouse, Kelly believes this book will hit home for many military families, but also realizes that children everywhere are being constantly challenged in new ways. Lauren has made it her mission to educate our community about Gold Star Families whose loved ones made the ultimate sacrifice defending the United States of America in the armed forces.Lauren is the Gold Star daughter of Captain Joseph M. Christian began her career in the entertainment industry interviewing Senators on Capitol Hill with the TV/Radio department of the Senate, The Senate Republican Conference. The incomparable Helen Patton, granddaughter of General George S Patton Jr, was my guest yesterday afternoon. Emily is a singer/songwriter and multi-instramentalist from Minnesota. 2015 saw her debut EP, "Quarter Life Crisis" at 25 years old. And, she is currently hard at work on her follow-up release. Her songs have been showcased in commercials, film, non-profit campaigns, stage productions and choral performances.
