In today's episode, Peter Burchfield and I discuss the topic, "The Power Of Self-Leadership".Self-leadership starts with the simple premise that it is hard to lead others if one is not able to manage oneself. If we want to be effective leaders, we first need to be able to lead ourselves effectively. It is all about leading yourself authentically. When as leaders we are in touch with our deeper, truer authentic self, we’re also able to connect with the authentic self of others. Developing a better sense of self is incredibly grounding. It helps you navigate difficult situations with less stress and negative emotion – because you have a higher level of emotional intelligence. Self-leadership doesn’t happen overnight, and it takes effort on your part, but the results are definitely worth it.In this episode, you discover practical tools to show you how you can start leading yourself today.Connect with The Practical Church:www.thepracticalchurch.comwww.instagram.com/thepracticalchurchwww.facebook.com/practical.churchConnect with Chris:www.instagram.com/chrissanchez.txwww.facebook.com/pastorchrissanchez
Life is stressful and confusing, full of overly packed schedules and circumstances outside one’s control. This can be especially troubling for Christians who are wrestling with reality while trying to put their trust in God. But the truth is, anxiety does not have to be king in our life. In fact, all the things people most desire in life--peace of mind, hope for tomorrow--are rooted in one simple thing: how they care for the health of their souls. So how do I care for the most important part of me and what can happen if I ignore soul care? Connect with The Practical Church:www.thepracticalchurch.comwww.instagram.com/thepracticalchurchwww.facebook.com/practical.churchConnect with Chris:www.instagram.com/chrissanchez.txwww.facebook.com/pastorchrissanchez

SERVANT LEADERSHIP and in this episode, we unpack what it is and how you can thrive in this area today!See, servant leaders are a revolutionary bunch—they take the traditional power leadership model and turn it completely upside down. This new hierarchy puts the people—or staff, in a Church Leadership context—at the very top and the leader at the bottom, charged with serving the staff above them. And that's just the way servant leaders like it.The end result? Performance goes through the roof, and Magic happens!Connect with The Practical Church:www.thepracticalchurch.comwww.instagram.com/thepracticalchurchwww.facebook.com/practical.churchConnect with Chris:www.instagram.com/chrissanchez.txwww.facebook.com/pastorchrissanchez

Maybe you're on the other end and find that the people doing what you've asked keep falling short or don't seem as excited as you.See, Great leaders recognize that success is a team effort, and they cannot do it all for themselves. Worship sets the atmosphere, and the worship team has a massive responsibility for creating a safe place where people can experience God's presence. So what does it take to lead a thriving and healthy worship team? How do I navigate the challenges of leading a worship team, and what does the person leading the worship team even do, and are they required to be the most talented, the most eloquent, the most gifted singer or musician on stage? There are so many questions to be answered, and that's why we are excited about this week's episode titled "LEADING A THRIVING WORSHIP TEAM."The Practical Church is a coaching and consulting company that passionately serves churches, pastors, leaders, and ministries across the United States. In today's episode, Josh Lopez and I discuss the topic, "Don't Give Up." Whether people know it or not, ministry can be draining. The thoughts of washing one's hands clean of a ministry and walking away is often entertained in the minds of many pastors and church leaders. The idea of giving up is real and is plaguing pastors, and leaders like never before.Connect with The Practical Church:www.thepracticalchurch.comwww.instagram.com/thepracticalchurchwww.facebook.com/practical.churchConnect with Chris:www.instagram.com/chrissanchez.txwww.facebook.com/pastorchrissanchez
It’s hard to believe, but first-time guests to your church make up their minds whether they’re coming back or not in the first ten minutes of their visit.  Think about that. Before they hear the first note of music, before they hear the first word of a sermon or before anyone stands up and says “welcome” in the service, most first-time guests have already made a conscious or subconscious decision about whether they’re coming back.
A Healthy Feedback Culture is built upon trust and relevance. If everyone is genuinely trying to get better, the invisible barriers between Pastors, Executives, Staff, leaders, and volunteers should fall away. If we sit down with open minds and engage in honest conversations, we will do much to create a Healthy culture where everyone is encouraged and supported to do their best work for the kingdom.
You don’t like them, I don’t like them, but they’re necessary.Hard conversations will help clarify expectations & course correct in the presence of uncertainty.  Not having them can contribute to culture misalignment, contaminate your teams, & illustrate weak leadership. We’ll share some tips to help navigate these situations with a balance of grace while being firm but fair.
