Join the Disturbed Nerds as we follow our trains of thought (or lack thereof) about the current state of the DCEU and what we are hoping for around the corner. #DCEU
Happy Pride Month! From two loud-and-proud queers, we present to you: representation in nerd culture. From anime to comic books, here are our favorite LGBTQ+ ships, story lines and opinions.
We Disturbed Nerds are loyal to our favorite universes. Sometimes to a fault. Other times, the creators and studios make it incredibly hard to be a fan. Our favorite example: Fantastic Beasts and Aquaman. We loved the previous movies, but we will not be seeing Aquaman 2 or The Secrets of Dumbledore in theaters Join us in the first episode of our second season as we discuss this controversy.
In this episode of Disturbed Nerds, our hosts discuss Caroline's favorite genre: science fiction! We cover everything from The War of the Worlds to Doctor Who to Firefly to Stargate to Star Wars to Star Trek to The Twilight Zone to even movies/shows such as After Earth and even Journey to the Center of the Earth. We explore why we are so fascinated about science fiction, and we pose a question to you fellow Disturbed Nerds: what makes a science fiction book/show/movie science fiction?
In this episode of Disturbed Nerds (recorded in February, sorry for the delay) Caroline and Keely talk about Wonder Woman 1984. Our hosts have very different perspectives on this movie but hey, that's what makes this podcast so much fun!
In this Halloween spooktacular special episode, Disturbed Nerds hosts Caroline and Keely talk all about horror films, discussing topics such as Japanese horror, Stephen King, Saw, Blumhouse Productions, and so much more.

In this week's episode, Disturbed Nerds hosts talk about comic cons, or as Keely says, the lack of comic cons. They discuss why don't think "virtual" comic cons work very well, cosplays, meeting celebrities such as Sebastian Stan and James Marsters, and all the money they spend on artwork, Steampunk gear, Caroline's tips for first timer comic cons nerds, and so much more!
Nerds all over the globe are currently grieving the loss of the amazing actor and amazing person, Chadwick Boseman. He is most known as being Marvel's Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, & Avengers: Endgame. Boseman has also starred in the fan-favorite films 21 Bridges and 42. In this podcast, we expressed our grief and shared our desires for the future of the Black Panther franchise.
DC dropped a lot of teasers, trailers, and first looks over the past two weeks. As nerds, we knew that the future of DC Comics and the DC Extended Universe had to be discussed! We broke down what we liked and disliked about what we've seen so far.
We all know that the world used to be in harmony and was perfectly balanced, but then the fire nation attacked. Spend some time with fellow Disturbed Nerds as we discuss Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Angela once again joins Keely on Disturbed Nerds! This episode is all about characters. We discuss our own terms of MBBG and SOF, chosen ones, female characters, and flat characters.
Unfortunately, Caroline was out sick. Thankfully, Keely's BFF from Oklahoma, Angela, was able to hop on this week's episode. Listen as we discuss vampires and why they are so relevant in pop culture. We talk about Dracula, Anne Rice, The Lost Boys, House of Night, and of course, Twilight.
Listen as we discuss our most hated and most enjoyed adaptations and what we would like to see.
We had some strong opinions about Umbrella Academy Season 2! In this episode, we discussed our first impressions, gawked at the wonderful soundtrack, and broke down our most to least favorite characters
Will we ever actually get to see the live-action Mulan or is it lost to us forever? We discuss that and the future of Disney+ in episode two of Disturbed Nerds.
An introduction to Disturbed Nerds. We talk about how we got into nerddom and what the summer of 2020 was like without any major feature films.
