Announcing a new segment from Sounds From the Year Between -- "Creative Project Hypersleep." For every story you read, for every song you listen to, for every game you play, there are dozens if not hundreds that never see the light of day. This is Creative Project Hypersleep, a series of mini-documentaries from Sounds from the Year Between, the official podcast of Skullgate Media. Each episode an artist digs into their creative closet to unearth a project that they have abandoned. Some of the projects have been truly abandoned while others have just been set aside until the time is right to work on them again. But I suspect there’s as much to learn from these creative dead ends as from their finished counterparts. Maybe even more.If you'd like to share a project that you've set aside (either permanently or "until the time is right"), I'd love to hear from you. Contact us using the form at skullgatemedia.com, send an email to editor@skullgatemedia.com, or DM me on twitter, @skullgatemedia.com and maybe you will be the subject of a future episode. Thanks!Music: Proxima Centauri by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.com Used under the creative commons license

We return to the Great Library to hear another story: this time, it's the beautiful 'Dust Motes'.Chapel Orahamm is an illustrator, academic, and author residing in the middle of no-man’s land big sky country. They have a passion for slipstream, romance, LGBTQ+ novels and the odd short story. Straddling the line between grunge and sappy prose, their world can be found online at kavordianlibrary.com. I can personally attest that it is GOOD, in a startlingly ambitious sort of way, so check it out.Sounds from the Year Between is the podcast companion to Tales from the Year Between, an anthology of strange and wonderful fiction where each volume is set in a brand-new original world. ... in which Sounds from the Year Between may or may not make vague overtures at the possibility of developing a plot. Will anything come of it? Who the heck knows. Probably not, we're all busy. But hey, it could be fun.
In this Episode of Sounds from the Year Between, Skullgate President and Editor-in-Chief of Tales From the Year Between sneaks into the Great Library to bring you a brief explanation as to why there will be no episode of Sounds from the Year Between this week. Which may result in a paradox leading a great disturbance in the space-time continuum and/or the Force, but we'll take our chances.
Another jaunt to the Great Library, and this time it's a most esteemed guest: Skullgate Grand Hierophant Chris Vandyke's here to read four of his stories from Achten Tan!Chris Vandyke is the founder and president of Skullgate Media, and started Tales from the Year Between because he was bored and it seemed like a good idea at the time.
