This week on Real Talk, we get real with Susan Ramirez, is the founder and CEO of National Angels, a nonprofit focused on showing foster children and families love and community, and providing them the support they need. She found her calling for this by piloting a Love Box Program (which they still do) and it grew into Angel Chapters all over the nation, intending to put a chapter in every metropolitan city. In this week’s episode, we talk about all things foster care and love. Honestly, this was a powerful episode for me coming from foster care. Her mission is one that changes kids' lives, and I can only imagine what it would have done for me as a child (that’s not me feeling sorry for myself, it’s me acknowledging how HUGE this program is). This is a special bonus episode of the first speech I ever gave at the Foster Home in Stephenville, TX that I grew up in. This speech was a lot of fun and a powerful moment for me. This week on Real Talk we get real with former Marine, Rob Rens. Rob went from helping prepare and return soldier home to their final resting place, to selling insurance.
