Description

A podcast focused on highlighting abstract concepts and ideas through a monologue. You, my listener are my honourable guest, and I acting as your distinguished host. I’ve wondered about the human experience from the other side. No, not beyond the stars, but rather from you, the other human I interact with. Do you think about things on another level that might be too weird or strange to talk about and discuss. Lets shatter that stigma of something being too far out to think about. Tune in and listen as we venture to the side of ourselves not often visited out loud. Are you willing to go to the deep end?

Ep.5 - A Duty

You invite me over. Greet me with a “Why are you here?” I come in anyway, which you aren’t too pleased with. I’m waiting. Maybe for you to offer me something, refreshments, or even just a conversation. You just can’t be bothered with any of it and want me to leave. I bet you're thinking, “Why would anyone put up with that?” No one should be treated that way, or be around people who would treat you so ungraciously. I bet you would say we have a duty to be responsible for another person’s peaceful existence to some extent. Should it matter how we treat each other? Well, let’s talk.
Round and around we go. The same music, lights, attractions, themes. Going round in a never-ending feeling of temporary state of happiness. Forgetting everything else that matters to enjoy the fleeting feeling. Enjoying the ride. No not the merry-go-round you often frequented as a kid, but rather the constant cycle of similar patterns, behaviours, thoughts, feelings and emotions we leave on auto pilot. Confused? Just listen.

Have you ever tried to put out a fire? I feel like most of us have had some experience of heat or a flame taking over and leaving us in a state of panic. Resulting in a poor experience because either you were physically burned, or your favourite piece of steak ended up looking like a hockey puck. Fire being the core element, can be so difficult to control if you don’t know what your doing. Its recommended we prepare for environments in which you must interact with a source of heat (generally and commonly in cooking). Some emotions, like anger, can be very similar to fire, in that it can be hard to manage especially after you’ve lost control. Have you taken the necessary training to avoid it? Lets go there.

EP.1- Not A Sore Loser

Exploring Losing. I hate losing. In a society focused on winning, should we do anything with losing? I know it exists, does it bring any value to my life. Does it affect me other then not being able to achieve “victory”?
