3D printed ceramics open entirely new possibilities for ceramic art and education, and we're going to speak with two pioneers in this area to learn more about what can be done. Among the many impacts of the COVID pandemic was the disruption of supply chains, resulting in shortages of many products, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
To address this challenge, a group of volunteers worked together to develop a number of open-source mask designs that can be produced using affordable digital fabrication technologies (i.e. 3D printers, laser cutters, and desktop vacuum formers).
