Life is as unpredictable as a home renovation project! Exciting, chaotic, and full of unexpected twists and turns. I've been there, faced challenges, and learned that no perfect plan or blueprint exists. And waiting for one will only hold you back.Sometimes, it's the unplanned detours that lead to the best outcomes. Because it's not always about getting what you want, it's about who you become in the process of trying to get it. If I'd known what I now know about my house renovation project, I probably wouldn;t have gone through with it. But then, I would have missed out on the knowledge, relationships, and problem-solving skills I've developed on the way. And I wouldn't have a house I would love living in. By the end of this episode, I hope you're inspired to trust yourself to figure out whatever the process throws at you, quit waiting for the perfect plan, and embrace the unknown.  Oh, and if you're feeling a little lethargy setting in as we reach the end of the year and want to reignite that fire within, shoot me a DM with the words "I want my 75" to get deets of my Find Your Spark sessions.Support the show Buy me a coffee Leave a review Stuff to Light Up Your Life🚀 Get my book, The Triple C Method®️🚀 Work with me🚀 Get Triple C 101🚀 Do yoga with meConnect with me: InstagramLinkedIn

What got you here may not get you there, so the saying goes. The plan, the strategy, and the blueprint got you to this point, but now the old way of doing things just isn't working for you.You feel stuck. Like you're wading through quicksand. And the more you try to lean on what got you here, the more frustrated and stuck you feel.In this week's episode, I share news about the writing of the second book and how to get from stuck to flow I had to allow myself to let go of what went before and allow the new book to evolve based on who I am and where I am now.My intention is that this episode gets you thinking about where you're stuck, and questioning what you're holding on to from the past that is holding you back from your future.  All so you can, in the words of the Sufi poet Rumi, Be like a tree and let the dead leaves drop. Support the show Buy me a coffee Leave a review Stuff to Light Up Your Life🚀 Get my book, The Triple C Method®️🚀 Work with me🚀 Get Triple C 101🚀 Do yoga with meConnect with me: InstagramLinkedIn

Have you ever felt like you've hit a wall in your journey towards your goals? I've been there, too, feeling demotivated as the progress slows down. You want everything you do to be big, bold, and flashy and get discouraged when weeks or months go by with seemingly small insignificant steps being taken that fail to deliver the dopamine hit you crave. But as I illustrate through the story of my house renovation, those steps you see as small and insignificant are just as important as the giant strides that are visible for all to see.So when you're feeling downhearted, I have one question you can ask to get you refocused on where you're going and the steps you need to take to get there.Listen to The Triple C Method® on SpotifySupport the show Buy me a coffee Leave a review Stuff to Light Up Your Life🚀 Get my book, The Triple C Method®️🚀 Work with me🚀 Get Triple C 101🚀 Do yoga with meConnect with me: InstagramLinkedIn

Just over a year ago, I was asked to speak at a summit for lawyers about being a parent in BigLaw, in particular, being a father. I was on a panel with two other women who were mothers and it was a really good discussion.  From that, I  was recently invited by one of the other speakers to provide coaching to new and expectant fathers as part of a retainer her company has with a law firm which I was so happy to do because I've been there. As I was thinking about the upcoming sessions and looking back on my time as an expectant father in BigLaw, I asked myself what I wish I'd known back then. That transpired into a post that I made on LinkedIn, which was my three tips for parenthood. But I realised as I read back through the tips, that although I was writing them from the viewpoint of a parent, these tips were universal. These same tips applied to me in business and in changing the way that I live my life.  So, although these started out as 3 tips for Parenthood, they're 3 tips that are useful for anyone, who is thinking of changing where they are, changing their situation, to do something different from the norm, different than what they're expected to do. So, whether you're a parent or not, I hope you find these 3 tips helpful. They're going to give you a different way of thinking about things, thinking about change, thinking about doing things differently. Support the show Buy me a coffee Leave a review Stuff to Light Up Your Life🚀 Get my book, The Triple C Method®️🚀 Work with me🚀 Get Triple C 101🚀 Do yoga with meConnect with me: InstagramLinkedIn

Before I was a lawyer I was a music mogul.OK, that might be a slight exaggeration. Despite my grandiose dreams I never did become the UK’s answer to Puff Daddy (as he then was) I aspired to be.But I had a good run. I spent 4 years making music, managing artists, and living a dual life of lavish industry parties and extreme brokeness.Seriously, I made no money.Anyway, a  phrase you’d often hear in the business when an artist had their first taste of success was,,“The difficult second album.” In this week's episode I talk about recreating success, and what to do when what got you here won't get you there.Support the show Buy me a coffee Leave a review Stuff to Light Up Your Life🚀 Get my book, The Triple C Method®️🚀 Work with me🚀 Get Triple C 101🚀 Do yoga with meConnect with me: InstagramLinkedIn
8 weeks to go the email said.  3 months earlier I’d signed up for the Sheffield 10k.I used to run regularly but at the time of signing up I hadn't run in over a year. So signing up for a race was my way of getting myself back into it.  But when that 8-week email landed in my inbox I’d run precisely 0 kms.I’d been putting it off because I knew it was going to be uncomfortable. I told myself I was too busy to run, too tired to run, too hungry to run. I told myself it was too cold, too wet, too hilly. I told myself I’d run tomorrow. And when tomorrow came I’d find some excuse to put it off until the the next day, and the next. And now, this email stood out in my inbox, reminding me of my failure to get off my ass and run. In this week's episode, I share why stressing over the process won't get you to where you want to be and pose an insightful question to ask to get you out of your head and taking the action you need to get you living life Lit!Subscribe to Finding Self on SubstackSupport the show Buy me a coffee Leave a review Stuff to Light Up Your Life🚀 Get my book, The Triple C Method®️🚀 Work with me🚀 Get Triple C 101🚀 Do yoga with meConnect with me: InstagramLinkedIn
