We had the pleasure of chatting with John Featherstone, co-founder and principal of Lightswitch, and Scott Falbe, owner and CEO of Intelligent Lighting Creations. We had the pleasure of sitting down with our good friend Carl Rupsis to discuss the importance of professional industry experience in the educational atmosphere. As Auditorium Technical Director for Valley View District, Carl prepares students for college and beyond by teaching audio, lighting, and production techniques, and best practices. Under Carl's mentorship, Valley View Alumni have been awarded scholarships for audio and lighting to schools such as DePaul University. In this episode, we talked about where Carl got his start, his transition from freelancing to teaching, and what the future looks like for Valley View.
