This week we tackle sarcasm. Unplanned, hosts Nalyse Seymore and Courtney Fostvedt have an easy time connecting and empathizing when it comes to sarcasm. It's imperative that listeners understand the severity of their disorder. Although it doesn't hold much weight, perhaps the take away is that no matter how much explaining you do, persons will still perceive of your words whatever they wish. This episode is not meant to truly be educational, but we'll let you decide. Thoughts, comments: theempathycocktail@gmail.com. Please SUBSCRIBE!
Hosts Courtney Fostvedt and Nalyse Seymore interview a special guest who goes by the name FLOWER (@mahoganyrighteous). She has been practicing numerology for several years! So naturally we have a lot of questions. She does a numerology reading on Courtney that gives her goosebumps, and enlightens both Nalyse and Courtney on some cohosting, relationship dynamics to look out for.  This episode is not too laden with astrology but Flower's grasp on numbers is magical, impressive, and accurate to say the least. The Artist Hustle

How are people in the arts are doing? Hosts Nalyse Seymore and Courtney Fostvedt discuss how COVID 19 pandemic has affected actors and entrepreneurs. They talk about the hustle mentality that true creatives have and how many creatives have been using this gift to hold on to their livelihood. This is a discussion that may inspire new habits for those looking to make it and redefine what hustling is really all about. Small businesses that are highlighted in this episode: etuoils.com and myselfstuff.com (Nalyse’s business where she makes and sells all natural body elixirs and hosts wellness events) and molliefern.com (our graphic designers merch). Feel free to let us know how you hustle and if you have anything you want us to cover at theempathycocktail@gmail.com.
Hosts Nalyse Seymore and Courtney Fostvedt talk race issues for the first time and share some history on their very different backgrounds. One of them only had two black people in their high school. Can you guess who? Can you imagine what that feels like? In the current climate that we are in, they thought it was only right to open the floor for some solid conversations on race issues that really hit home. They talk using the N word, question if some things are truly racist, and try to make sense of what is means to have EMPATHY when it comes to racial and cultural bias. This is only part one of a much bigger conversation. Wanna get involved? Email us at theempathycocktail@gmail.com for any suggestions or comments.
