One of the most delightful conversations I've had on this podcast is this one with Christene Springle, psychic medium, animal communicator, tarot reader, and Reiki master. The utter devotion and simplicity of her approach is unparalleled. We jump in talking about animals, what they have to say, Christene's monthly animal meditation, finding. your way on your personal path, recognizing when it's time to take your next leap, the joys of connecting to your intuition, and nature as the place you want to be daily, to find inner calm (yes, even in the big bad city).Find Christene in many places (note the interesting spelling of her name):Christene's Website: Mountain Magic Healing StudioChristene Springle on FacebookChristene Springle on LinkedIn Note: The point of views of guests on this podcast are not always the view of the podcaster. I think the title of this episode says it all. What are you feeling? Why are you feeling that way? What can you do about it? Yet another day goes by ... without you actually doing the work you know you're meant to do. It's incredibly frustrating, but our world just isn't set up to get us living on-mission. I'm planning to do a full episode on "flow state" but consider this a precursor. I mention it a few times, but really I wound up just talking about enjoying life and how most of us struggle to do that. Why??? Why can't we just have a good time with being alive? I'm not even touching on the tragedy of human existence in this one (we'll go there, and we have before), but today, what do you need to do to actually like yourself and your life? Go do it!!!!We also talk a lot about the culty aspects of culture, and how damned embedded crazy beliefs are in us. To the point that we can't tell truth from fiction. Or recognize our own truth in the face of really strong indoctrinations that are actually lies. Craziness. Tell me what you think! Email me at hello@maiawilde.com or hit me up on social media. Pulling back the curtain on what the hell actually happens in a life coaching session, with real-life client, "Liz". We talk a lot about work, which is a massive source of frustration for so many people, and we also dig beneath the surface, to see if we can get to the root of the reason some of these things are so incredibly challenging. Including what to do when you're triggered by coworkers or your boss.Get excited! What's possible for you?? Are you ready for someone to pay attention to your life and you? Seeing all these different people I've connected with over the years, who I thought I shared perspectives with, have been reacting in completely surprising ways to the conversation around abortion, I realized we need to talk about it even more. And it got me thinking about why we feel and believe the way we do about this insanely hot button topic. So I'm bringing my good friend and colleague on to talk about the historical context of abortion. I learned many many new things. I hope you will too. And I definitely let it all hang out on this topic, just saying whatever the hell came to mind, so ... just know that, going in!Who is Annalisa Derr, PhD? I realized I couldn't avoid talking publicly about abortion anymore, after the draft from the Supreme Court about reversing Roe v Wade was leaked. And the first person I wanted to bring on to speak about it is podcaster, Amanda Star Kingsley, who is the host of the incredibly outspoken and intimate podcast, Speaking Light Into Abortion. Amanda is gifted at telling the truth, owning her version of the truth fully — and inviting you and all of us to understand and speak our own truths out loud, too. She's inclusive, interested, curious, and invites us to be the same. She's daring, bold, and pretty freaking spectacular. You can follow her on IG at @AmandaStarKingsley, and find her on her website AmandaStarKingsley.com And if you're tuning in the week of May 16th 2022, make sure you register for her special week-long event series on this topic. She's got something for everyone. Seriously.I'll be getting interviewed on Amanda's podcast, so stay tuned to hear my story there. And all the women's stories she hosts over there. Ever wonder where your opinions come from? Or, more likely, have you wondered where the hell other people seem to be getting their totally misinformed opinions? We talk about that, using "the slap" heard 'round the world, as a starting point, in two separate guest conversations, first with Carla Savetsky, PA-MS, and then with our second (and return) guest, boyfriend Mike.We quote from the New York Times, and a conversation between theater critics Maya Phillips and Jesse Green, and generally riff on the idea of opinions and the culture at large.Do you think we should be allowed to change our opinion? Or, once formed, are we committed to seeing it through forever? What's the difference between an opinion and a feeling? How do we stop feeling like we're going to get in trouble if we have an opinion that's unpopular? How can we invite more people (the whole wide world??) into a dialogue experience, instead of endless polarizing debates? We also touch on the topic of gossip, where it can create connection instead of dissonance, and take a moment to peruse the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard hearings. It's fun all around, in other words!First up, my convo with Carla, followed by my lively chat with my boyfriend, Mike. You can also hear from him in Episode 37,  Staying the Course.Connect with Carla Savetsky, PA, MS, at CarlaSavetsky.com and discover more about her work as a Holistic Women's Health Expert. just start the damn project

Just start the damn project! Enjoy some conversation and some playful ranting around why we struggle to just get started. Your project might be simply getting in shape (and sometimes there's nothing simple about it!). Maybe you're looking to write a book, or have a baby, or meet new friends, or become more outspoken, or heal chronic illness, or fall in love (with yourself? with your life?). All these desires qualify as a "project" and the directive to "just start" applies to all.And here in Season 2 of Dirt Road Less Travelled, Maia will not only be joined by exciting and outspoken guests, people who have committed to just starting their damn projects, but we'll be hanging out in a nifty little "Grammar Corner" in many shows (no promises that this brand spankin' new element will be in all episodes, but maybe!), and a general sense of fun & freshness. Make sure you listen all the way to the end of this episode for some nuttiness & grammar joy!Ready to start your personal revolution & self-realization and self-actualization journey?Check out Maia's tools at maiawilde.thinkific.com.Ready for some personalized one-on-one support? In this Bonus episode, Maia and Mike talk about  waiting for the signs versus just forging ahead without taking stock. About" staying the course” when life is hard, when you’re not seeing any results even though you’re trying insanely hard. We're talking regimented vs flowy and the ways we get stuck at both ends of the spectrum. And determining your course based on which end of the spectrum you’re on — a person who generally puts your head down and keeps staying the course, without being fully cognizant of whether they’re actually on course or not. With some newly recorded tracks from 2022, including some triggered moments where we look back at the original radio show, and see what's the same or what's different now. Ah, The Four Agreements meets the New Year. This Bonus episode is originally from Maia’s radio show, and recorded at the dawn of 2020.Well, a hell of a lot has happened since them! With a new preface, recorded by Maia in upstate New York at the turn of the new year 2022, this is an opportunity to take stock of how to clear the slate anytime, not just at specific calendar marks, but also how to approach life afresh any old time.Using the amazing yet gloriously simple book by Don Miguel Ruiz, The Four Agreements, as a jumping off point, we muse on all these topics, and more.Orig. Today we’re looking at concrete moments in our lives where we can retroactively see that we got an intuitive hit … and how it felt to ignore it or to follow it.And then how to use what we learn to make sure we’re tuned into our Intuition. Why? To feel not lost and to feel courageous.Because our intuition gets blocked and covered up by the experiences we had that us made believe, "I can't trust my instincts". "I got it wrong." "I'm wrong."But who were you before the world got to you? Before you got knocked down, when you felt free? What if you could return to that state? You can, and that’s exactly what we’re talking about doing here.More about Maia at MaiaWilde.comMaia's mechanisms for self-realization MaiaWilde.Thinkific.comOrig.
