We will now switch gear  and go from the cold subject of avalanches, to the hotness of volcanoes and their hazards. Many of you most likely heard there is a volcanic eruption in Iceland (again) and it is a good time to review the topic of volcano hazards. Enjoy the show.
I was pleased to be joined by Stefán Jökull, avalanche wizard in Iceland. He talked about predictions and avalanches in Iceland and really quick intro to snow pits.
Today we talk about what to do once the avalanche victim enters your department.
This episode is a remake of the presentation on the Management of the Avalanche victim that I did to the Garðabær Search and Rescue team in the Iceland.  It focuses on the management by rescue teams and the principles behind it.
