Christophe Cop is the brain behind Konsolidate, a startup from Antwerp whose work is based on Solid - a decentralisation project that allows people to regain control over their personal data.Christophe, who holds a university degree in psychology and has vast knowledge in Data Science, talks about the opportunities he has to put his knowledge into practice with his work with Konsolidate. Michael Wolf is the founder and CEO of Tudock GmbH, a Digital Commerce Agency with a focus on Adobe and Magento based platforms as well as search and navigation in eCommerce platforms. Michael explains that privacy starts with the employees, or even before that, within the recruiting process. Using a special hiring management software that meets the highest standards in GDPR, legal compliance is protected: No applications are sent via email to ensure GDPR and streamlines the whole recruiting process. Furthermore, the interview is designed so that no personal questions, e.g. regarding the individuals’ health, will be asked.
How can we create sustainable products that respect people’s personal data and their privacy? We talk to Pieter Vegt, Product Owner at Empathy.co, and explore ways to guard customer data beyond a basic GDPR protection. Enriching the shopping experience while placing people’s privacy first.
