We are at a point, in our son’s journey, where we truly were hanging onto a thread of hope.  The thread was getting thin.  Would that thread hold up?  We also encountered different obstacles that were caused by a pandemic that was taking over the country.  The ButterFly Fund Foundationhttp://butterflyfund.org/Website:www.cancerdadpodcast.com
The journey is becoming one that is starting to make us think that we will never see the end, or at least the ending we want to have.  Our faith was becoming weak, but we still held on to hope.  Once again, we found ourselves, looking to a familiar face, to hopefully provide what was needed to get off this path we had been on for so long
We take a break from the medical side of things in this episode, to tell you about a pretty incredible story that occurred shortly before Neyland's bone marrow transplant.  A story that no one saw coming, and one that is still writing itself today.  A story of a bond between a young boy and his Bulldogs.  This is one that Hollywood couldn't write better if they triedwww.cancerdadpodcast.comHearts for Hadleyhttps://heartsforhadley.com
Neyland has reached a point where things were going good, and life was getting back to normal again.  Would it stay that way for good?  Find out in this episode as we continue the journey through Neyland's story, and the world of Childhood Cancer!  Sometimes to get through things, you have to call upon some Super Powers.....Tune in and find out where those powers come from!Website:www.cancerdadpodcast.comFeatured Non-Profit Organization:Friends of Jaclyn Foundationhttps://friendsofjack.org/
Neyland has reached a point, in the story, where we are all taking on something new.  He is awaiting a bone marrow transplant, but the problem is, to have the transplant, you have to have a donor.  They were not locating a match for Neyland, so had to look elsewhere.  Who would be Neyland's donor?  Would we find a donor?  How would our family handle the process as a whole?  So many questions, and this episode will provide most of the answers
Neyland had been diagnosed with another cancer, leukemia, which meant we were fixing to embark on the same type journey, but a completely different path.  What would that path consist of?  Had we recovered from the previous battle enough to take on a new one?  So many questions that were to be answered in the upcoming episodes!
After a long break, the CancerDad Podcast is back on the air.  This episode will explain my absence in detail, and provide a short recap of previous episodes before continuing on.
Our family had gotten use to being normal again.  Neyland was getting back to doing what kids his age should be doing, and he was well on his way to taking his childhood back that was taken from him two years ago.  Would we keep moving forward, and be able to put all that behind us?  Find out in this episode of Neyland's Journey
This episode brings us to the point in our journey, where it is time for another test.  The results would determine the direction our journey would be going.  What were those results?  Could my family, finally, get some good news?  Listen now to find out, and hear how we responded to the news?Social Media Links for the Podcast:Facebook: www.facebook.com/CancerDad2013/Instagram: www.instagram.com/cancerdad2013/Twitter: //mobile.twitter.com/InPickelThanks to Brian Crowe for his work on our intro and outro. Our journey has brought us to the introduction of chemotherapy.  The unknown, the information, the risks, and the side effects are overwhelming.  How does Neyland handle it?  How do we as parents handle the idea of our son going through it?https://www.facebook.com/CancerDad2013/https://www.instagram.com/cancerdad2013/https://mobile.twitter.com/InPickel
I am not one who plays the waiting game well at all.  It was especially hard having to wait on results from a test on your child, where the results would be life changing, or even life threatening, depending on what they were.  What did the results show?  Where does this journey go from here?  Tune in to find out!Website: www.cancerdadpodcast.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/CancerDad2013/Twitter: https://mobile.twitter.com/InPickelInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/cancerdad2013/If you would like some added thoughts from this episode, you can check out my blog by clicking on the following link:  https://www.cancerdadpodcast.com/blog/block-google-out/
