Have you ever wondered about someone else's journey? How they got on to a specific path? Have you stopped and wondered how you even got to where you are now? These are only some of the questions we want to ask others and of ourselves. Join me in this episode of Conscious Conversations where we speak candidly to a real special person, Muzz Khan, on his journey of how he discovered his calling and how he is got to where he is now. Discover it all, but this episode is  only the tip of the iceberg, there is so much more to discover. About Muzz Khan Quirky, uncensored, and idiosyncratic, actor Muzz Khan is quickly becoming known in the entertainment industry for the characters he has brought to life on screen. From television, film, theatre, and music, Khan proves time and time again that he can do it all. In 2016, he can be seen co-starring in ABC's musical comedy "Galavant." Khan is a scene-stealer as Barry, the belligerent and bewildered assistant to Wormwood [played by Robert Lindsay] who could be described as the Pakistani lovechild of Kramer from "Seinfeld" and Daphne from "Frasier." Season two of "Galavant" premiered in January 2016.On the film front, Khan will make his US feature debut in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's [MGM's] and New Line Cinema's "Me Before You" as Syed, set to be released on June 3, 2016. Based on the 2012 bestselling novel by Jojo Moyes, the film follows Louisa Clark [Emilia Clarke] who forms an unlikely bond with the recently paralyzed William Traynor [Sam Claflin] after[Sam Claflin] after she is hired [by Syed] as his caretaker.Television credits for Khan include: "24: Live Another Day," "Black Mirror: White Christmas," "Catastrophe," "The Suspicions of Mr Whicher," "Bradford Riots," and "No Angels." He made his debut at the internationally renowned Pacha nightclub and became a resident there for two years. He has performed across Europe at venues including Ministry of Sound, O2 Academy, Proud Camden, numerous festivals, and at Spanish clubs including Space and Es Paradis in Ibiza. Khan has shared the stage with artists such as 2ManyDJs,Fedde Le Grand, MK, Armin Van Buuren, Eric Prydz, Basement Jaxx, Chris Lake as well as countless others.Born in Burnley and raised in Nelson, Lancashire, Khan always had a passion for the arts. By the age of eight, he loved house music and his passion for acting developed in high school when the BBC came to film an episode of the popular drama "Hetty Wainthropp Investigates" at his school. Khan volunteered to be one of the background students and ended up filming a small scene as an extra. With no acting experience and being from a small town, he found the whole experience incredibly seductive. He even landed his first paid acting gig before starting drama school in Miramax's "East is East" which featured Archie Panjabi from the series "The Good Wife."Khan trained at the illustrious Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in South Kensington, London, alongside his peers, Natalie Dormer, Rupert Friend, Elyes Gabel and Tom Mison, graduating in 2004.Khan currently lives in the UK with his wife and three kids.Happy Listening xxx
Being busy has become an art form; wherever we look there is some form of stimulation, but when do we truly take time out and be silent? Sometimes we want to get away from it all and sometimes the answer comes in the form of a binge-fest on the box, or a night out with our favourite food, but what about yoga or mediation as a form of taking time out?The inner peace or silence that we seek is a form of doing something different and quietening our ego for a moment so we can bring a sense of clarity and healing to our bodies and so much more. We are a curious race who want to know more and learn more, but maybe we have been getting it all complicated; maybe the answers we seek are closer to home? Our Guest - Gabrielle LewisGabrielle is a qualified yoga therapist and yoga practitioner. She began her training at the Sun Power Yoga School and went on to complete training in yoga for the special child, mindfulness, the philosophy of healing, Pranayama, and holds a diploma in yoga therapy from Yogacampus. She is currently studying for an MA in the Traditions of Yoga and Meditation at SOAS and is in the process of completing her dissertation on the tension between embodied and disembodied practices in yoga traditions.Gabrielle’s spiritual family is Traditional Yoga where she is in continual training with Dr Kumar, a master of yoga. Traditional Yoga is a charity dedicated to preserving a lineage of pure undiluted teachings. Kumar is a physicist by profession and provides all his yoga teachings for free. The money for the courses offered goes towards projects in India promoting yoga as a science and health intervention. Gabrielle has completed their prana samyama meditation teacher training.Gabrielle’s teaching style is therapeutic in nature and based upon the principle of zero resistance. She encourages her students to work psychosomatically with the body refining one's body awareness. Applying gentle movements releases tension bringing the body into zero resistance before resistance training and asana can be worked with to build strength. The ultimate goal is to bring balance within the body-mind complex, from which all healing arises.Happy Listening xx
Today we have a really different kind of episode; we are talking about grief, but not in the traditional sense of someone passing.   Our episode today focuses on the unspoken grief we encounter when shedding an identity, for example, the life we leave behind after we become a parent, or after changing your career when something doesn't work out as you wanted it to be.  Grief comes in different forms, which is often overlooked.  Personally, my life has changed so many times, and over the years, I have unknowingly been through a grieving process. In this episode our focus is on where we can discover where we have been, where we are at, and how we can move forward. It is an episode where we understand someone else's journey and begin to think we are not alone. Our guest is Alice Rose, she is a sound therapist, an intuitive artist, life meditator and yoga teacher, but she is more than that; she is a creative and kind soul. She is a woman who stands in her power and truth. She dances with her shadows and basks within her light. Alice openly shares parts of her journey, but what is key is that she continues to learn and listen, staying present to the unravelling of life. Happy listening xx Alice Rose - https://www.alicerose.space
In this week's episode, we explore trust. What is trust? Why do we always want to trust other people? Or why do we talk about how others have broken our trust. However, do we always trust ourselves? Why are we, at times, so indecisive? Why do we second-guess ourselves? The answers we seek externally are usually within us. Scary thought? Or a step to being free? When we talk about trusting ourselves, it means embodying everything, even the parts we dislike and hide.  But when we dive deeper and fully immerse ourselves into trusting, our life becomes elevated, prosperous and free. This week, our guest who helps explore the topic of trust in depth is a healer, teacher, light bringer, and truth-teller, Christina Moore. Christina helps clients awaken the divine within, and this is what she certainly does in this episode; she blows our consciousness yet simplifies how we can build our trust within ourselves. Our physical body is much more than we think it is; we are always under the assumption that we tell our body what it needs to do. But is it time we started listening to our body? Is it time to see sickness in another way? Is the ailment trying to tell us something? We are always in a hurry to avoid being sick, for example, headaches; we reach for those tablets as soon we feel the headache coming. In today's conversation, Su asks us to consider approaching our physical body differently.   "There is no dis-ease in a fully conscious 'Be-ing', so, why not become conscious of the things you need right now."  This week's wonderful guest is Kinesiologist Su Mills, working in this field for many years and has learnt a range of different healing modalities. I love Su because she is this warm soul that provides wisdom and clarity but more importantly, she makes changes so practical and easy. Happy Listening  xx Su's Website: https://www.balancedlifestyle.org.uk

We often talk about the glass ceiling, that invisible barrier that prevents or makes it difficult to reach our potential. When we look at the invisible barriers, we often see it as external to us; other people, structures and systems prevent us from getting to where we need to be. Breaking down glass ceilings can be an uphill and never-ending struggle because there is so much to do. Perhaps it's time to look at it differently? Could there possibly be a more straightforward solution? This week's guest Pete shares an alternative perspective on the glass ceiling and suggests it could be time to look closer to home. Maybe it's time to break our own glass ceilings. This week's guest is entrepreneur Pete Gill who has broken down many of his own glass ceilings to achieve his success. One of Pete's unique qualities is his ability to bring extraordinary light into everything he does, whether it for his family, friends, work and basically else that meets him. He is a person of integrity. Enjoy and love to hear your thoughts.x
In this week's episode, we explore the concept of blame where instead of looking outside it's time to look within.  There is often a tendency to hold other people to account and other people responsible for what is happening in your life. But if you look closely, the common denominator in those situations is YOU. If you just pause for a moment to let sink in so much of what is happening in your world, you  would start to see a shift. To be clear there is blame in this, there is no beating yourself up, that is not helpful to anyone, it's time to see what is really happening, so situations can actually work for you, not against you.Enjoy xxx
Do you have a dream or goal that you keep putting off? It's either that you are too busy or the time is not right. In today's episode, that is exactly what we are exploring: Starting does not need to be hard. It doesn't have to be perfect, you don't need to do it full time; all you need is to take one step. Today we have the creative and highly talented make-up artist (MUA) Mandy talking about how she has started her company Beauty Storm alongside her full-time job and dealing with life itself.  Mandy shows how that once she had decided to start everything started falling into place. In this session, what really shines through is her passion, realism, and honesty in that she has faced challenges and encountered her own self-doubts, but she pushed past it all to bring that dream and talent alive. Enjoy!
