Our guest today is Maurice Beurskens, CEO of online supermarket gurkerl.at. The origin of the eGrocery provider is as a Czech start-up. The company, founded by Tomáš Čupr in 2014, has already grown and trades as rohlik.cz in Prague, kifli.hu in Budapest and as gurkerl.at in Vienna. The next online supermarket is planned to launch in Munich in 2021 under the name knuspr.de.

Our  guests today are Frederik Nieuwenhuys, co-founder and CEO of the Dutch online supermarket Picnic and David Hibbett, CEO at TGW Northern Europe.In Utrecht, Picnic‘s  exciting lighthouse project is now becoming a reality: TGW is building a highly automated fulfilment centre which incorporates three temperature zones for Picnic. The new distribution center has 40,000 m² of floor space and uses state-of-the-art technology to pick efficiently, grocery orders for more than 150,000 families per week. This project highlights a new level of commitment and cooperation between the two companies.
