Silence is an opportunity to listen to your life. It's like bird watching. You don't search for birds; you're still silent and wait for them to appear. And it's in the waiting and in the quiet that feeds our soul. Our silence is not about being submissive or admitting weakness. It's about disarming chaos, uncertainty, and fear. By turning into silence, we begin to learn about ourselves and our minds. It's by embracing silence that we become mindful and present. Take a comfortable seat and be in a very quiet place. Please close your eyes and turn your attention inwards towards your breath as you settle into this moment of stillness and quiet focus, and only you repeat these words with me. Silence helps me focus on my thoughts.  Silence will unlock new ways of thinking.  Silence and reflection connect me to my purpose I savour moments of silence I will allow time for silence every day. Listen to this guided affirmation each day to calm the subconscious and appreciate the joy found in boredom. Mindfulness  Guided Affirmations - Turn Boredom into JoyDistraction is everywhere. We are so open to distraction now more than at any other time in history. Distraction takes us away from the present moment, leaving no space to feel contentment or joy. We need to use our moments of peace and not allow them to translate to boredom rather than joy. It is easier to crave and chase distractions than it is to sit with the discomfort of boredom. Join me, sit with me This is the work we need to practice to feel joy.  Let's turn inwards towards boredom, so we learn about ourselves, our minds, and the actual source. By exploring boredom, we become more mindful of our tendency that leads us away from finding joy.Take a comfortable seat in a quiet place.Close your eyes and turn your attention inward towards breathAs you settle into this moment of stillness and quiet, notice any discomfortRestlessness might appear as a quality of mind or as a sensation in the bodyStay focused on breathIf you happen to notice discomfort, rather than turning away, turn towards itTake a deep interest in your feelings of boredom or restlessnessGet curious about the feeling or sensationNotice if your boredom fades away by taking an interest in itAnd if so, return to the breathSay these words with me :My mind is calm My breath is full I am peaceful in this spaceMy attention is focused My thoughts are clearI am at ease with stillness I am focused on this momentI do not seek stimulation I am focused on what is important This moment belongs only to me I am nourishing my desires I am free to embrace new experiences Time is still in this moment I am still in this moment I am confident I am pursuing what makes me happy I am my best self When we learn to embrace silence within ourselves, we welcome the mind to experience joy. The surges of distracted interest become less, and we can sustain a steady focus. As you go about your day, use mindfulness to recognize boredom. Notice when you fill space with unnecessary tasks how often you mindlessly reach for your phone. Become interested in your boredom and use boredom as a trigger to engage with your thoughts. Ask yourself, what is it that is making me uncomfortable at this moment? What is it that I truly need? Challenge yourself to remain present with the discomfort of boredom. With mindfulness, we can reverse our perspective on boredom and recognize it as a calling to relax, slow down and enjoy.  May your every day be filled with joy. Support the show
Mindfulness affirmations, gratitude for others. It's easy to feel alone and unseen. Too many days are filled with sadness and frustration. Yet we are not alone. Nor are alone in this feeling of helplessness. The truth is, we have led ourselves here to where we are today, right now. We must remember that others have also guided our experiences. Some we have decided to bring with us and others we have lost along the way.1:11  And yet we are still here today. We came into this world as a miracle and as a survivor.1:29  Along the way, we have shared memories both good and bad. with family, mentors, friends, strangers and even enemies.1:44  A small act of kindness, a compliment and even criticism have each impacted our lives. Each act playing a role in our next decision. We have never been alone. And we are not alone right now.2:24  Mindfulness affirmations will guide us to recognize and be thankful that we are indeed supported and cared for. The following exercise of speaking affirmations will enable us to express our gratitude freely for others. Sit comfortably in a quiet place. sit tall and feel your body relax. Close your eyes and breathe in and out through your nose. Bring the image and energy of those in your mind who have supported you.3:29  Imagine that they are here with us. feel their presence, feel their support and their love. AVOID this episode - at the end the speaker is putting an affirmation into your head that you can't find peace unless you meet certain conditions that they are saying. Affirmations are not supposed to be spoken with conditions and someone else's thoughts on what makes things attainable. There are several occurrences on that within this episode. I think I have lost trust in this Podcast now and may unsubscribe.

WARNING: This episode starts off with awful negative affirmations.. These should be positive affirmations from the outset or else discussing without the meditative music as I don't want my head filled with that in a meditative state. Plus those broad negative things don't apply to everyone so it's shocking to fill people's head with those....
