Description

A mental health matters podcast for the residents of Bay County, Florida. How Ya Doing Bay County, is an initiative by Alignment Bay County, a 501c3 nonprofit collective impact organization. We’re focused on youth success from cradle to career and one way we do that is by supporting families and our community as a whole.Hurricane Michael in 2018 was a traumatic event for our community. After the hurricane and now with COVID-19, many of us have observed that both children and adults have struggled with their mental health and positive well being. We've also observed friends, acquaintances, neighbors checking in on each other and asking, "How ya doing?" That question, "How ya doing?" inspired us to create a local mental health resource for the community of Bay County, Florida. First, a website: howyadoing.org which has a local behavioral health directory as well as other resources. And second, this podcast. Our goal is to make finding behavioral health resources easier for our community and bring awareness that your mental health matters.
