In the first period of the podcast I talk NHL draft lottery, with dates announced for this. I also talk about the Nazem Kadri hit to Justin Faulk and hitting to the head (again) in general. I look at the East and Central Division playoffs so far. In period two I am joined by Charlie Deacon to discuss the Bruins and Capitals playoff series so far. In the third period I look at the West and North Division playoffs as well as running through the Team GB fixtures for the upcoming World Championships. 
In the first period I look at non-playoff news, including a firing in New York, and a potential candidate to be the new head coach for the Rangers. Seattle have made history with their first signing as a club and the EIHL has released a starting weekend and playoff dates for next season. In the second period I talk to guest Pete Hynes, a UK based New York Islanders fan about their chances in the playoffs, and the East Division playoff games as a whole. He also gives his thoughts on the other divisions and who he believes will win the Stanley Cup. In the third period, I preview all eight playoff series, pick out my winners and see who would play each other in round two, should that happen. 
In the first period of the podcast I look at the NHL playoff race and discuss who is still yet to claim a berth, while also working out some potential first round matchups. I look at the TJ Oshie hat trick on Wednesday night after the passing of his father and discuss the news that the Seattle Kraken are now officially an NHL club. In the second period I talk Tom Wilson, the mistakes made by the NHL player safety and why he should have received a long ban for his actions. The third period takes a look at the games upcoming this weekend, picking out those with playoff implications. 
In period 1 I look at the NHL playoff race as it stands now, who looks likely to get in and who will miss out. I also talk about the potential scenarios to work around the Canadian border when we get to the final four. I talk about the new NHL TV deal that has been struck with Turner Sports. In period 2 guest Ellie Goward discusses the season so far for the Vancouver Canucks and whether they can get into the playoffs or not. He also talks a little EIHL hockey, how to make the game more accessible and his thoughts on Team GB ahead of the World Championships next month. In the final period I look ahead to games over the next few days, pick out the big games with playoff implications and then give a little background about Team GB and what they are facing at the World Championships. 
In period 1 I discuss the career of Patrick Marleau and why I think no one will ever be able to pass him for the number of NHL games he has played. I also talk franchise leagues, why this does work for American sports but won't for football. I take a look at netminding in Florida and how the Sergei Brobovsky contract is blocking the path for their other netminders to grow. I talk about a division title push for Vegas, playoff pushes for Dallas and Boston and the crumble on the New Jersey Devils. In Period 2 I am joined by Conrad Mumby who is a UK based New York Rangers fan. Conrad discusses this season but we take a long look at the future of the Rangers, their prospect pipeline behind the current roster and look at potential Jack Eichel trades given the rumours surrounding him. In Period 3 I take a look at the upcoming action this weekend including UK friendly face off times and also news from the Elite League regarding the pricing structure for their playoff streams. 
In period one of the podcast I look back at the trade deadline and highlight the big moves that took place. Following on from that, I talk about rules surrounding salary retention and whether these should be changed by the league. I also talk about the start date for the playoffs and how that may be different for certain divisions and the recent surge of the Nashville Predators. In the second period I talk with my guest Stephen Whitehouse, he talks to me about the Pittsburgh Penguins and the NHL in general, including the East Division, which is turning out to be hugely competitive. In the final period I am looking for your ideas for the summer, plus we look ahead to the games coming up and highlight the early games that are taking place this weekend. 
A trade deadline special podcast focusing on the NHL trade deadline next week. In period 1 I discuss the fines for star players, are they big enough, should these be a percentage of salaries and how youngsters copying their actions is something to be wary of. I also look at the value of 1st round draft picks this season given that much of the data used by scouts is a year old and players have been out of the game with no junior hockey. The second period is where you will find all of the trade deadline talk. 17 different guests from the UK NHL fans community join me to give their thoughts on what the teams they support will do at the deadline. We highlight buyers, sellers and name some players who could be on the move. In the third period I look ahead to the games this weekend, those we can watch live on TV and lastly a quick look back at the first weekend of the Elite Series. 
In the first period of the podcast I discuss the small season extension that the NHL have put in place this season and how that impacts teams. Then I talk NCAA signings, why they are happening, when they will happen and where these players could end up playing for the rest of this season and how it affects their contracts. I also look at the emergence of Adam Fox, the unfortunate injury to Aaron Ekblad and cover good weeks for two teams. In the second period I am joined by Thomas Leary who is a UK based Seattle Kraken fan, following this franchise from the start of their existence and he talks to me about the team, what to expect and his hopes for where they go in the expansion draft. The third period covers NHL games this coming weekend and a preview of the Elite Series that features four EIHL teams and begins this weekend.
In the first period I look at the confirmed NHL draft lottery news, referee Tim Peel being fired for comments in game, the troubles that the Philadelphia Flyers currently have plus more. In the second period I talk with guest Reece Fowler who is a UK based San Jose Sharks fan, we talk about the Sharks and their problems, as well as what could be a tough future for them. We then discuss the eSports industry and what the NHL is doing in this, and where they may go in the future. In the third period the mailbag looks at Wayne Gretzky and his scoring rate, and how stars of the past compare to the players of today in terms of scoring. I look ahead to the games this weekend, picking out some big ties over the weekend and lastly round up with a look at the EIHL and the streaming prices they have released for their upcoming series next month. 
Part 2 of my Seattle Kraken expansion draft special. For those who haven't heard part 1, it is recommended you go back and listen to that first, it is episode 8 of the podcast. In this part we dive in depth and look at more complex deals that could be made, we review everything that happened with the Vegas expansion draft and I take a brief look at all 30 teams, who they could lose, and where Seattle will find their netminders from. 
In the first period of this week's podcast I take a look at Alex Ovechkin and his goal scoring record, I also talk trade deadline and outline the impact Covid will have on North Division trades. I round off with a look at Buffalo and the problems they are having while also highlighting my two teams of the week. In the second period I discuss the Anaheim Ducks with UK based fan Anthony Broadley, we look at this season, the quality of John Gibson and what to expect from Anaheim in the future. Rounding off, in the third period I take a look at the weekend games coming up, especially those with UK friendly face off times. 
In period 1 of the podcast I take a look at some major talking points including head shots and the recent Tom Wilson suspension. I also look at the NHL ESPN TV deal, how it impacts the UK and our own TV deals, the Calgary Flames plus updates to the draft lottery system. In period 2 I am joined by guest Scott Brown to talk about the Winnipeg Jets and their season so far, while period 3 ends with a look at the weekend action, live and free hockey in the UK and I round off with the mail bag which focuses on the EIHL and their mini series draft that took place on Monday.

I cover what one is, why we have one, what Seattle do and who they pick, how it affects your team and some potential deals that could take place. Look out for part 2 to follow on from this, where I go in depth examining the potential players who Seattle could pick up from around the league.

I am joined by guest Adam Deacon in the second period of the show, he is a UK based Dallas Stars fan and shares his thoughts on the season so far as well as his expectations for the future.
