Description

This is Sex Without Fear, the podcast where we talk about sex, society, and everything in between! I'm Amberadical, and I'm a trauma informed birth worker in Northern California.  This podcast began with my childhood sexual trauma set in a conservative bible belt during the satanic panic, and ends up somewhere around age 30 finding healing through atheism, feminism, and sexual liberation.

Years ago I sat down with TLC & National Geographic's celebrity Adult Baby, Stanley Thorton who experienced his 15 minutes of fame and months of fraud investigation.  I took a while to come back to this and formulate some thoughts on what this visit meant to me and what I took from it all.  This is a shorter episode but I cover a lot and you will probably leave with very different thoughts than what assumptions you came in with.Happy Holidays listeners!  Support the Show.
You may have first seen them on Showtime's Polyamory: Married & Dating in 2012, but what the show didn't show views was their work in activism, writing, and big plans to change the world.  10+ years later, and Vanessa has a charcuterie board of work to show and resources to offer the queer and sex work communities.  Join the convo to hear them talk about their Death Doula business, their two completed books, and their self defense classes they offer geared towards LGBTQ folk and sex workers.  My goal with this interview was to let you get to know Vanessa along side me, so you feel inspired to seek out their many resources they've worked hard to offer a variety of communities.Find more of them and their work on: instagram @vanessacarlislevanessacarlisle.com& on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays at 5pm on KPFK Radio "Body Politics"https://www.kpfk.org/archives/Support the Show.
A christian boarding school in my hometown hit the news a few times before eventually being shut down.  A buzzfeed article came out with some pretty gnarly accusations about gay conversion therapy, forcing them to eat only peanut butter for weeks and months at a time, and more.  I had to get to the bottom of this since no one else was talking about it.  I brought two victims on from different years of attendance to tell their stories.  Here is victim 1, and follow to the next episode to hear victim 2 who attended during their shut down and move to texas.  Again, this has a big fat trigger warning of all kinds for these episodes.  You will hear of all kinds of horrific things.Support the Show.

Sex Without Fear Podcast welcomes Jaxon & his dad Dustin!  Jaxon is 16 and is here to talk about his experience as an openly gay football player at his high school.  He opens up about what it was like to come out to his family and peers, how supportive his family was, and his message to other kids like him!  Dad (Dustin) chimes in on some of his perspectives and thoughts.  Not many of us are as lucky to have the family that Jaxon has, so this is just a feel good story to bring a smile to your face this week.Instagram: @amberadical  www.amberadical.com  patreon.com/sexwithoutfearSupport the Show.
If you caught the Netflix documentary, "The Most Hated Man On The Internet", then you saw how Destiny became internet famous as "Butthole Girl" after being a victim of revenge porn  (image-based sexual abuse) on the website "Is Anyone Up".  I invited Destiny over to record more of her story and to hear what's happened to her since the internet scandal and then the documentary.  We cover topics about her relationship with the website creator, her children, her sexuality, and her plans for the future.Support the Show.

Sex Without Fear welcomes Ginko to the studio to talk about their experience as a local queer artist and the ways in which they've been censored.  Is there anywhere that is safe for artists to express themselves?  Ginko talks about how they have experienced censorship online as well as in-person galleries.  Ginko is an NSFW artist, and you can find their art on Instagram under the handle @9.inko Because of the censorship discussed in the episode, I'll continually update their handle as they are forced to make new ones.Subscribe to Sex Without Fear on all major podcast platforms so you can get the next episode right to your phone feed.  Find us on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio, Castbox, or we can be found at sexwithoutfear.buzzsprout.com To get updates on new episodes, take part in listener polls, and see when merch drops, follow our Instagram handle: @sexwithoutfearAnd lastly to support Amber's many community projects or to find a resource from an episode visit www.amberadical.comSupport the Show.

Todays episode is a shared bonus episode, with Rustin Garrett, the host of Black Sheep Perspective Podcast.  His podcast is all about breaking out of a religious upbringing, and our podcasts shared too many similar messages to not meet up and collaborate.  When Rustin told me he wanted to discuss how religion had sexually repressed him, we HAD to come to the table together to talk about our differences and similarities of how our religious upbringings shaped our sexualities .  Join us to hear how we've rode out this personal journey of sexually empowering ourselves after religious abuse.Find this episode and more by Rustin with the Black Sheep Perspective on spotify, apple pods, or follow his instagram handle @blacksheepperspectiveFind Amberadical at www.amberadical.com or on instagram @sexwithoutfear and don't forget to follow and subscribe on your listening platforms so you can get all future episode alerts right on your phone! Thanks for the spontaneous and unscripted podcast fun, Rustin!Support the Show.
Amberadical respects who's voice needs to be heard, so of course I was not going to school you on circumcision without bringing a male perspective to the table.  Infact, he doesn't need me at all.  I've been so excited to bring this guest to Sex Without Fear, and it wont be the last time you hear him.  We aren't leaving much out, and we had 3 hours of recorded content, that I'm splitting into two episodes so that you can get as much out of this as you can.  You will leave learning something, because even a veteran intactivist like myself, took some new knowledge home.  So enjoy this well put together, long distance guest interview, and please share to help save baby boys.Useful links from the episode:www.intactamerica.comwww.tlctugger.comwww.doctorsopposingcircumcision.orgwww.NORM.orgwww.wholenetwork.orgSupport the Show.

In this episode we talk about why we could see T.I.'s Rape allegations coming a mile away.  Rape culture starts at home with daddy, and the Harris' have consistently proven this time and again.  Now with 30 women making accusations, Amberadical explains the red flags we were given when TIP made his daughter's virginity a public spectacle, when he admitted he forces her into virginity checks.Support the Show.
