Dina Yoo, an elementary school teacher with over 23 years of experience, shares how she sets up Writing Workshop in her classroom. We chose her book, Flygirl, for our upper grades/middle school  community read because it epitomizes hope for a better future.  We dig in deep with Sherri about  her various jobs leading up to writing this book about a black woman becoming a WWII Women's Airforce Service Pilot. We explore crossing racial boundaries and building a world to write. Be sure to tune in to her inspirational advice for all writers.  
Theresa and Rosa, from Graphic Campus, chat with Edie Lau, the author of Clementine's Great Big Uh Ohs! Her two sons, Gabriel and Nathan co-wrote this book about a sweet little mouse that faces daily "UH OHs" creating anxiety filled disasters while learning to manage her anxiety with confidence.     "They hope many children who struggle with anxiety/rigidity can find more joy like Nathan and Gabriel have," wrote Edie.        Check out how how Edie and her two teenaged sons create a wonderfully heartwarming book together!
