Each show and topic discussed is also paired with its own beverage such as beer, whiskey and other beverages. The key is for the listener to be brewed and distilled after each edition of this podcast.

For this episode of Brewstilled, I’m joined by Arthur from Full Circle Brewing Company in Fresno California. Arthur is also the owner of the Speakeasy Brand in San Francisco California. Combined Full Circle and Speakeasy has become a leader in the craft beer world and is also the largest black owned craft brewery in the United States. Arthur is also a member of the board of directors for the California Craft Brewers Association. For this episode of Brewstilled I’ll be discussing storylines for the 2024 NFL draft. With the draft now a little more than 2 weeks away, teams in the House of the Lombardi will face critical moments that will define the destiny of their franchise. Some teams are rebuilding while others are at a crossroads. Players such as Trevor Lawrence will face questions while coaches like Doug Pederson will face their own. This draft will also feature a class of Quarterbacks with rising stock  value, but just how good will this years class of Quarterbacks be? Could some teams be a dark hoarse to draft a Quarterback? All this and more will be discussed here on Brewstilled with each storyline having their own beer pairing. 
For this episode of Brewstilled, I’m joined by Portland Oregon based beer writer and podcaster Jeff Alworth. Jeff is the author of the Beer Bible and is a leading expert on beer. He’s also the writer of the blog Beervana. In this episode I talk with Jeff about a wide array of beer topics such as his start as a beer writer, podcaster, where craft beer is today and beer in general. We also discussed what maturity looks like for a city’s beer scene. The topic of beer as a whole is discussed as we as beer drinkers may need to see beer beyond the craft beer label. For this edition of Brewstilled, the NFL returns as we are now in the NFL season year for the 2024 season. It’s also the return of the House of the Lombardi, the theme for the NFL here on Brewstilled. For this episode, I’ll be discussing the 10 NFL teams for this year’s edition of the House of The Lombardi. Some teams were part of last year’s edition while some are new. They all have their own storylines, struggles and goals. Yet, they have the same quest to get the Lombardi Trophy. I’ll be talking about these 10 teams and what is to come in the months to come before the NFL season starts. For this episode of Brewstilled, it’s a recap of my experience when I went on a quest to find the world's most sought after beer, Pliny the Younger from Russian River Brewing Company. For many craft beer enthusiast Pliny the Younger is the Holy Grail. Once a year for 2 weeks, this beer of intrigue is released at Russian River’s Brewing's taprooms in Santa Rosa and Windsor California. It attracts beer enthusiasts from all around the world who seek out this brew of intrigue. For this episode of Brewstilled, it’s a recap of the 2024 California Craft Beer Summit. For this year’s summit, attendees saw a follow up from the topics addressed at last years CCBA summit. Such issues addressed were legislative updates, the growing rise of low ABV beer, food pairings and an opening address from Rob Todd from Allagash Brewing Company in Maine. There was also a trade floor that consisted of vendors such as brewing equipment, beer label makers, Hop Farmers and more. I’ll be discussing it all here on Brewstilled, along with some thoughts on the state of the beer industry. It’s all here on Brewstilled. 
For this episode of Brewstilled, I’m joined by Laryssa and Johanna from Friends of Front here in Sacramento to preview Front Street Brewfest in Sacramento California to be held on April 13th, 2024. The Front Street Brewfest is a craft beer festival that benefits Sacramento’s Front Street Animal Shelter. Several Sacramento breweries such as Alaro, Jackrabbit Brewing and Urban Roots along with more will be in attendance pouring some excellent craft beer. Along with the beer, there will also be Ciders, Seltzers, and Kombucha as well for those looking for beer alternatives. For this episode of Brewstilled, the road to 40 continues with dating after 40 as the episode’s topic. In this episode, my guest is Dr. Lisa Firestone a psychologist who specializes in relationships and who has also written on the topic of dating after 40. She has been published in numerous professional articles in places such as Psychology Today, Match.com, WebMD and more. Dating in our 20’s and 30’s tends to be a time of exploration with some finding love and marriage while others find both only to divorce. This then brings us to our 40’s, which opens up a whole new beginning for us all. For many of us who seek love in our 40’s we experience anxiety, concerns, and a fear of not finding love. For this episode of Brewstilled, the road to 40 continues as I speak with Deborah Heiser. about the Right Side of age 40. Deborah is an Applied Developmental Psychologist. She is also a TEDx speaker, a 92nd Street Y speaker, and is the Founder of The Mentor Project. Her work has been featured in Psychology Today, Forbes Magazine and the New York Times including more. She has a specialty in midlife by defining what age 40 looks like and why it’s not that bad. In this episode, I interview Deborah about the inevitable age of 40, the fear of getting older and more as the road to 40 continues. 
For this episode of Brewstilled, it’s the start of a new project in where I begin the road to 40. As someone who turns 40 in the year 2024, I’ll be discussing turning 40 here on the Brewstilled podcast for some episodes with the first episode based on when Millennials turn 40. For Millennials, the idea of turning 40 was at one time worlds away, but also inevitable. As Millennials begin to come of age, the age of 40 is looming as some Millennials are already there, but most have yet to turn 40. For this episode, I’ll be joined by Tess Brigham to discuss when Millennials turn 40. Tess is a licensed therapist who works with Millennials and members of Gen Z as they navigate life’s biggest challenges. Her work has been featured in numerous media outlets such as Newsweek, Oprah Magazine and CNBC. We’ll be discussing what it means for Millennials as they turn 40, what that age means for them, why turning 40 isn’t that bad and more. 
For this episode of Brewstilled I’ll be recapping the season 4 finale of HBO’s True Detective Night Country. The case is now closed and the mystery is for the most part solved. We saw Danvers and Navarro work together to solve a complex mystery in a hostile environment in one of the worlds most remote regions. Also, was this mystery more supernatural or psychological? How did Danvers and Navarro change? I’ll be discussing it here on Brewstilled with a Hazy IPA from Anchorage Brewing Company as the beer pairing. 
For this episode of Brewstilled, I’ll be recapping episode 5 of HBO’s True Detective Night Country. We are just one episode away from the conclusion and the mystery still remains. In this episode we saw Danvers and Navarro venture into the deepest and darkest parts of the mystery that may also unleash the darkness within themselves. There’s a lot that remains with this mystery and several parts of it may also remain a mystery. I’ll also be discussing pressing questions for the finale that need resolved. In episode 4 we see detectives Danvers and Navarro pursue a lead of interest while a the darkness around then continues to descend. We continue to see more of a supernatural and psychological element to this season, but which ones has more influence or is it equal? Or is the season based on just one of those topics? For this episode of Brewstilled it’s a recap of episode 3 of True Detective Night Country from HBO. In episode 3 we saw more of the season three storyline unfold with Detectives Danvers and Navarro working to solve a deeply complex and disturbing mystery in where nothing is ever what it appears to be. It’s now 5 days of night in the case and the mystery gets deeper in this episode that also includes a doozy for the ending. For this episode of Brewstilled, I’ll be recapping episode 2 of True Detective Night Country from HBO. In episode 2, the darkness of the mystery continues as Danvers and Navarro begin to see more pieces of the puzzle for the enigmatic and dark case they’re trying to solve. Yet not all is settled as the two detectives face their past and personal demons that begin to intersect with the disturbing mystery they’re working to solve. I’ll be recapping what transpired in episode 2 with some theories on what could happen next. A Belgian Dubble from River North Brewing is on tap for the beer pairing. 
For this episode of Brewstilled, I’ll be recapping the Wildcard round for the 2023 NFL season playoffs. For the wildcard round, we saw upsets, emerging stars and 2 epic collapses. The Houston Texans showed they’re the new dominant team in the AFC South and maybe even eventually the AFC Conference. The Packers showed they’re also a dangerous team while the Dallas Cowboys suffered an epic collapse. For the Detroit Lions, they’re also a dangerous team as Jared Goff won his revenge game against the Los Angeles Rams for an historic win for the Lions. Kansas City dominated the Dolphins who will now face the Buffalo Bills. Tampa Bay also dominated the Philadelphia Eagles as the Eagles faced a collapse of their own just like the Dallas Cowboys. It was wildcard round for the ages that may have repercussions for the offseason. I’ll be recapping it along with more here on Brewstilled with a Saison from North Coast Brewing as the beer pairing. 
For this episode of Brewstilled, I’ll be recapping episode 1 of the fourth season of True Detective from HBO and MAX. True Detective comes back strong with a unique fourth season that contains a disturbing and dark mystery that takes place in Alaska during a time period of everlasting darkness in an extended period of night. In this season two detectives with their own conflicted history reluctantly join forces to solve this mystery in a place that is as dark as the mystery itself. I’ll be recapping it here on Brewstilled with an ALT Amber Ale from Alaskan Brewing Company as the beer pairing.
