Today we are going to cover a story, a parable, one of the best known parables and it is right here before us in Luke  chapter 15 as well as in Matthew 18“then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Jesus to hear him and the  Pharisees and the Scribes murmured saying  this man receives sinners and he eats with  them so Jesus told this story to them saying  what man of you having a hundred sheep if he  loses one of them does not leave the 99 in  the wilderness and go after the one which is lost  until he finds it and when he is found he lays  it on his shoulders rejoicing and when he comes  home he calls together his friends and neighbour’s  saying to them rejoice with me for I have found  my sheep which was lost I say to you that likewise  there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner  who repents than over 99 just persons who need  no repentance” 

The Leaven is a great reminder of corruption in the church and within ourselves, the episode is long as I rambled  on my self reflection and also ended with prayer,  Please do take the time to soak in the beauty of Gods truth

2023 is here, upon reflection of 2022 there are a few things i would like to mention as advice for you all but mainly 2 points of wisdom from the bible i would love to leave you with.

The parable of the mustard seed.Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”

(Matthew 13:24-30) The parable of the wheat and the tares.Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”

You can not build a new house with old bricks The new life and the old{Matthew 9:16, Mark 2:21, Luke 5:36} We shall read from Matthew 9:15-17No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse. Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” Jesus explained that He did not come to repair or reform the old institutions of Judaism, but to institute a new covenant altogether. The new covenant doesn’t just improve the old; it replaces it and goes beyond it.Jesus’ reference to the wineskins was His announcement that the present institutions of Judaism could not and would not contain His new wine. He would form a new institution — the church — that would bring Jew and Gentile together into a completely new body (Ephesians 2:16).Jesus reminds us that what is old and stagnant often cannot be renewed or reformed. God will often look for new vessels to contain His new work, until those vessels eventually make themselves unusable. This reminds us that the religious establishment of any age is not necessarily pleasing to Jesus. Sometimes it is in direct opposition to, or at least resisting His work.ii. Jesus came to introduce something new, not to patch up something old. This is what salvation is all about. In doing this, Jesus doesn’t destroy the old (the law), but He fulfills it, just as an acorn is fulfilled when it grows into an oak tree. There is a sense in which the acorn is gone, but its purpose is fulfilled in greatness

{Matthew 7:24-27//Luke 6 47-49}“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall

This is written in Matthew 5:14-16, Mark 4:21,22 and finally in Luke 8:16,17 as well as 11:33-36 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” In this parable Jesus gives us such an astounding compliment but such a great responsibility simultaneously.

If we truly believed that prayer changes the way God acts, that God DOES bring about remarkable changes in response to prayer, we would pray a lot more.

The simplest of truths lies within the principal that one can not face two directions at the same time, whatever you gaze upon your back will always be against the other direction.

The power of life and death is in our tongue.we can build up, or break down.we can speak from a place of love or from a place of hate.inevitably the seeds we plant will depend from the place we choose to speak from.speak from love and the seeds of encouragement will be placed in others producing beautiful fruit.

Demons opress us, daily we fight daily against spirits of anger, lust etc. but there is power in the name of Jesus

Some of us are willing to compromise what we want for what we can get NOWwe are missing out on what is meant for us because of the rush we are in. there is a blessing in Patience.
