This week I get to interview the newest members of the Golden Strip School of Music family, Savion and Jordyn our childcare center teachers.  Learn all about them and the talents and love of children they bring to our center.  P.S. I didn't edit this so you get to hear all of my goof ups.

Today our newest teacher Ruth McDaniel joins me to talk about teaching vocals and piano.  She also plays the Harp and we happen to have a student that was very excited to find that out.  Check out how she came to teach at our school.
I get the pleasure of having David Michael Hawkins open Season 3 of the podcast.  We discuss his new Patsy Cline EP and the charities that will benefit from the sale of the first single He's Got You.  We also discuss his PR firm My PR Lab, and his community involvement.  And we get a sample of his new single as the outro.  Make sure to download the single and the entire EP wherever you get your music from.
Megan Danelz of Heart Strings Music Therapy Services joins me to discuss her Adaptive Music Lesson offerings here at Golden Strip School of Music.  Megan is a Board-Certified Music Therapist.  She explains the difference between Music Therapy and Adaptive Lessons and discusses the advantages and terrific outcomes of Adaptive Music Lessons.
In this completely unedited episode Kevin Heuer and Shawn Allen join me to discuss their latest show together The Final Countdown at Centre Stage in downtown Greenville!  80's rock and pop plus some Christmas tunes! Shows Thursday-Sunday until January 9, 2022.   It's me that couldn't quietly clear his throat, but I'm not telling you which guest was doing the Darth Vader impression.
Today my brother in law, Harry stoppped in to help me test the changes and upgrades I made to the podcast equipment to try and get rid of the noise issue.  Enjoy us basically just messing around.
I finally got our Jazz Sax instructor Ryan to sit down for his episode.  Look up cool sax player in the dictionary and his picture will be there.  Want to learn to play sax for jazz, rock, pop or any cool genre of music then Ryan is the man!!!   Oh and the technical glitch I thought was fixed isn't you get to hear it at the very end, when it cut off the last minute of our interview.
This is the lost interview because it was recorded back in May of 2021 and somehow never made into the podcast rotation.  In this episode I talk all things sax and clarinet with GSSM teacher Kory Vrieze.  He's got the most awesome celeberaty story!
In this episode I interview Gary Fann aka Carolina Slim.  He even brings his guitar and plays a little blues for us.
In today's episode I talk talk to Shawn Allen about his Adult Guitar Camp and his biggest challenge yet, teaching me so I can rewire my brain and become a guitar player again!  You might even hear Tiger King mentioned
Amazing interview with Adam, they are our trombone, composition and music theory teacher.  I didn't have to edit any of his part of the interview, but my part, well it needed some help.  Although for your entertainment and mine I left some of my screw-ups in there including my goofy laugh.
In this episode I interview the mulit-talented Katherin Trask.  She teaches vocal, piano, violin, and uke.  We not only get indepth about teaching but we also talk about Hanson....MMMBop!!!!
In this episode I talk with Allsion from Life As Mary about all things music. Oh and we are joined by the one and only Joel McCreight from Golden Strip Recording Studio!  WARNING!!! Joel and I went off the rails a few times so part of our conversation is a bit naughty.
I am joined by Dan Niehaus a student of Shawn Allen.  Dan proves that you are never too old to lear .  Not only did Dan start playing guitar after he retired, he's about to get his degree from University of South Carolina Upstate.
In our continuing series of student interviews, adult student Coty joins us for an awesome interview.  We talk about guitars and music, we even let guitar teacher Shawn Allen in on the fun.  Had a great time doing this, Coty is an awesome guest and we got to geek-out about guitar stuff!
I had the pleasure of interviewing Zac Taylor one of Kevin Heuer's longest enrolled drum students.  We got to do the interview without Kevin, since he's not in Greenville on Thursday’s.  We talk about drums, guitars, bass, piano and his musical influences.  Zac is a great kid and he's heading off to Middle Tennessee for college.  You will also get the pleasure of hearing my brain glitch a lot during this one.
In this episode Kevin Heuer and I talk to drum student Jax and his dad Nick about what it's like learning to play drums and what benefits they have experienced thanks to music education.  We also find out what Jax does when he isn't drumming.  We even let them interview Kevin!
I get the pleasure of interviewing the newest memeber of the Golden Strip School of Music family, Christopher Blount.  Not only is he a talented trumpet player, he is going to be one of the all time great music teachers in the state if not the country.  Prepair to be inspired!!!
Laura Morris sat down with me to discuss the human voice and the beautiful sounds it can make when properly trained and cared for.  It's not just about vocal cords, the entire body is involved along with proper mechanics.  Tune in to learn more about this fascinating instrument.
